The Mediator Fellowship- Who We Are:
In the beginning, the Mediator Fellowship was a rather conventional Unitarian/Universalist church with a minister and a hymnal. Over the years we have evolved into a group of self-governing individuals who meet informally every Sunday at 11 AM for a weekly “Forum” of discussion. Our Sunday morning discussions reflect a diversity of beliefs and life experiences. With a general agreement amongst us to uphold human rights and spread social justice and equality to all persons, at our core- our foundation, is the Unitarian/Universalist tenant: that each person is free to develop their own personal belief system. We recognize, however, that views differ as to how best to work towards achieving these goals. Accordingly, the opinions of all- including atheists, agnostics, as well as believers in a Deity, all are respected and welcome in our inclusive Fellowship. Exponents representing varied viewpoints occasionally bring presentations, but we place greater importance on listening and learning from one another. Also offered at the Mediator are weekly Yoga sessions, which take place at 9:30, prior to the discussion Forum at 11. Introductory sessions are free and donations are welcome but not required thereafter. Learn how Yoga can make you a stronger, healthier,

The Mediator Fellowship and affiliates, The Mediator Stage and Open Mic Thursday at The Mediator Stage, do not formally endorse any specific political or religious organizations other than what is described in our mission statement. At times and in certain circumstances we may choose to support a certain organization in pursuit of a common goal. We continue to support the First Amendment at all of our functions.

This Sunday October 27- 6pm at The Mediator Fellowship, 50 Rounds Ave, Providence, RI, - you will have an opportunity to help fellow citizens you will probably never meet, never cross paths with, and never interact with in any other way. The only thing you have in common with them is the country we all share together. We may be divided by miles and maybe political leanings, but some things transcend distance and politics. These hurricane survivors are still our neighbors and some of them have lost everything. We may not be able to go there in person with hammer and nails to help rebuild, but nothing is stopping us from donating what we can to give aid to those affected by these terrible storms. Let's show what this small community of artists and musicians are capable of. Thursdays 7 – 11pm-Open Mic at The Mediator Stage:
Each Thursday at 7pm, the Mediator Fellowship becomes the Mediator Stage, host to an open mic event of live music and performance. A far cry from the seedy bars and noisy chatter of cafés, the Stage is a listening room fashioned for the sole purpose of providing an intimate space where performers can be received with appreciation and respect. The Stage is a place where the performers and the audience come together, and there’s always great local musicians to be heard. In fact, you could be one of them! Starting at 7pm, anyone can sign up for a slot to perform. Musicians are welcome to play covers or original material, and the Stage has several pianos, a drum set and a PA system for use. The Stage is open to other performance types as well — poets and spoken word artists, comedians, mimes, sword-swallowers — anyone can get up and do their thing. The third Thursday of each month is hosted by the student/mentor song writing performance group “RISING” And did we mention that there’s complimentary refreshments? Come to the Mediator Stage and join us for a night of music and more!

Open Mic Night may be attended freely without appointment or membership. Come by on Thursday and check us out! Support the only 100% musician run, non-profit Open Mic and Songwriter Showcase Venue, a Listening Room where musicians and performers of all types and skill levels are encouraged to get involved.
