It’s 2026 folks! PLEASE let’s help our small Businesses with feedback in writing or phone calls. NEVER click 1 or 2 stars unless you actually want to harm a business.

How can we get everyone to understand that all reviews are helpful, regardless of how painful they might be to read. But click 3 star or up, regardless.

By clicking the 1-star, you are single handedly harming the business’ ability to succeed and I don’t think that is anyone’s intention.
Online ordering, algorithms, sales, and ultimately the businesses ability to stay afloat are all affected by low star reviews.

SUPPORT LOCAL as much as possible 🙏🙏

As 2025 comes to a close, so does Chef’s OBD.
This is one of the hardest messages I have ever had to write. As of January 7, 2026, the diner will officially be closed. Chef’s OBD was more than a diner to me — it was a dream, a risk, and a labor of love. I truly gave it everything I had in hopes of creating a place at Oakland Beach where people could gather, feel welcome, laugh, and enjoy good food together.

To our customers: thank you for choosing us. Thank you for walking through our doors, coming back again and again, and allowing us to be part of your days, your celebrations, and your routines. Your support kept us going more than you will ever know.

To my team, past and present: thank you for believing in me and in this place. You showed up with heart, dedication, and pride, and you helped turn a small diner into something meaningful. No matter how long you were with us, you mattered, and I am forever grateful for the role you played in this journey.

The reality is that this location is incredibly difficult during the colder months, and despite my best efforts, I can no longer continue. Making this decision has been painful, but it is one I must make.

Although this chapter is coming to an end, the memories, relationships, and community we built will stay with me always. Chef’s OBD will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Thank you for the love, the support, and the belief you shared with me. I will never forget it.
