Around the Corner Catering Retirement
This month marks the final month of Around the Corner Catering! Jane Russell and the Around the Corner team just catered the final weddings of the season, and she will be retiring after an incredible career of more than 40 years catering in the Finger Lakes area. In celebration, we hope you enjoy this video showing photos from the early days of the company side by side with photos from the recent years.
Jane began the business as a local entrepreneur in 1981, with the idea to deliver meals directly to families at their homes. This quickly grew to a catering company, called Bluff View Catering, that served local food at the most important events in the area. These included big weddings, performances at the Bristol Valley Playhouse, celebrations at Gold Seal such as a dinner for Hugh Carey, the then Governor of New York, or the 80th birthday of winemaker Charles Fournier, and events at many of the best local wineries as the wine region grew!
Looking back now, Jane has employed so many wonderful staff members, served hundreds of customers, loyal clients and families, and has been an active community member. She would like to express her gratitude to everyone for all of the support she received over the years as a part of the Finger Lakes food and wine industry.
Now that she is retiring, you can be sure to find her tasting the latest vintages at local wineries, enjoying the lake out on her boat, and expertly hosting her charming Airbnbs, of course complete with homemade muffins and a selection of local wines and cheeses. We have no doubt she will enjoy her retired life here on Keuka Lake, because enjoying life is what she does best!

Our Garden
We always strive to bring you the most local and fresh food here at Around the Corner Catering. It is at the heart of what we do, and we’re so passionate about it that we grow a lot of produce in our own garden. 💚 Check out video to see how much our beautiful bounty has grown in just one month! Our raised garden beds are full of fresh herbs, tomatoes, peas, greens, peppers, and so much more. Each week we take inspiration from our garden and the local harvests to craft our menus!
