The Loose Caboose Festival takes place annually on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Fun filled festival, free admission.

Family oriented event which started 10 years ago when a couple of antique shop owners on Main Street decided we needed to have another event to draw people to our downtown area to acquaint people with businesses in that area as well as have a lot of fun. This event features antiques, crafts, art , live entertainment, children's activities, wine tasting, food, and fun. Many shops offer special sales that day, too!

The Purcell Heart of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce took over theLoose Caboose Festival several years ago, when I retired. This site needs to be closed down. Sorry for any inconvenience. Please contact the chamber for all local festivals.

The 2018 Loose Caboose has new sponsors and new leaders and a new date. The Purcell Heart of Okla. CHamber of Commerce and Patriot Ford present the festival on October 13th. Call the chamber for details.

For thirteen years I was a member of Purcell Antique Merchants Association and was lead coordinator for the Loose Caboose Festival of Purcell. Last year I stepped down from that position since I had sold my antique business and was no longer a PAMA member. I have been informed that no one would accept the position and decided to not pursue this endeavor and offered to help others if they would like to take the festival on as sponsors. No takers. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The Purcell Antique Merchants Assoc.sponsored the Loose Caboose Festival in Purcell for over 13 yrs.,however they are not sponsoring it in 2018. There is no LC Festival this year.

Saturday, September 3rd ----tomorrow--the Loose Caboose rolls down the sidewalk and into the street while live music plays and the food starts cooking. Come see antiques, collectibles, Made In Oklahoma goods, jewelry, hand made wood toys, wind chimes, pet goodies, repurposed glass objects, photographic art and enjoy wine tasting from local wineries. Our local library will offer activities for children at an area in the food court near the 34 ft. Maker Mobile which will be giving demonstrations of such things as their 3D printer. Check it out.
