Tanglewood Forest
A specialty event venue, with primitive camp sites and multiple common areas for your group for weekend use. We are located just south of Dallas, just 40 miles from Waco and only a few hours from both Austin and Houston, so this is a great place to visit for the weekend or host an event. Contact us for dates and availability. Over the years, Tanglewood Forest has hosted LARPing
type events, spiritual retreats, music festivals, large weddings and family reunions. There is water available at designated areas. There are power outlets at selected locations. We offer hot/cold showers and flushing toilets. Events of larger than 100 persons may require surcharges for rental of PortaPotties. There is a small field with stadium lighting for all night activities. We have a primitive cooking area with water availabe and a big fire pit for a gathering of people. Large events require outside rental of tables and chairs, etc. There are no private cabins for rent and no swimming pool. We have two rustic structures for use during your event. There are 18 numbered campsites;
you can drive to your campsite to load/unload. OVERNIGHT PARKING AT CAMPSITES IS NOT ALLOWED unless a D.O.T. handicap plate or plaquard is openly visible...OR unless approved by Tanglewood management. If you plan to bring an RV contact us first, space and hookups are limited. Pets are allowed, but we require all pets have current verifiable vaccination records and be maintained on a lead. A $300.00 deposit will reserve your dates from noon Friday untill 2pm Sunday. It will also cover the first 20 persons attending your event. For groups larger than 20 persons, normal charges are $15 per person. For large events/programs please contact management to negotiate your rate.
