We are up to 13 local BBQ’ers for our cook-off this Saturday, Oct. 5th. Join us at 5:30 at The Gathering Place in Purdy for chicken & rib dinners.

Join us this Saturday night at 5:30 at The Gathering Place in Purdy for a BBQ cook off, where 11 local pitmasters will showcase their skills. All meal prices include baked beans, cole slaw & bread and are as follows: 1 pc. chicken meal-$4, 2 pc. chicken meal-$5, 3 pc. rib meal $5, chicken halves $7, all drinks $1. Hope to see you there.

BBQ Cook Off is Oct. 5. Spots still available & meat will be provided. You can cook at home or at The Gathering Place. No entry fee, but prizes will be awarded. Come join us for dinner. Serving starts at 5:30. Please comment below for more information or questions.

Due to input from grillers, we have made a couple of changes to the BBQ Cook-Off on 10-5-24 at The Gathering Place in Purdy. Categories are now ribs, chicken & beans.

We are kicking around the idea for a BBQ Cook off at the Gathering Place in Purdy on October 5th. Any BB'Qers out there that would be interested in competing? We are thinking that we would have 4 categories. Beef, Pulled Pork, Chicken, and Beans with prizes for each category. We would also need participants with a hearty appetite to purchase and consume all the goodness. Dinner will be served and all proceeds will go to prize money for the competitors. Please comment and give us your thoughts or, you can private message if you prefer to Ken or Julie. If you have any interest in helping judge, sponsor, or provide input for this event, we would like to hear from you.

What a beautiful day for a Cruise In. We are ready at the Gathering Place. Come on out for our first event we have hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches while they last. Hourly drawing for attendee door prizes. Can’t wait to see all cars and visit with the folks. Hours are 4-7 pm tonight
