As I was driving through the mountains on I-90 today, I was thinking about Chelan and how it has become Washington’s best place for destination weddings. 💒 👰 🤵

I’m excited to perform at a couple of weddings there this summer, and I wouldn’t mine DJing over there even more! Maybe even make it a weekly thing during the summer? 😉

If I could offer brides-to-be some advice, it would be this:

Slow down. Invest a few extra minutes, read over everything, and follow the directions provided by your professional vendors - we are using our experience to make this process as easy as possible for you.

Most importantly, don't procrastinate as you wedding plan. Pace yourself; there is a lot to do and you can't do it the night before the deadline looms.

As a wedding DJ, I believe taking the time to learn about my couples and understand who they are is key to delivering a personalized wedding reception experience. So, while this song was never requested by the couple, I knew going into Michael & Rose’s wedding celebration that mixing in “Down Under” was a must. I just had to be patient and wait not only for the right time to mix it in, but when they were in the center of the dance floor. I just knew this would be an unforgettable moment for them – surrounded by their family and friends. Fortunately, I realized I had this desired moment set up perfectly coming out of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” – a must-play favorite requested by Rose - and I quickly mixed in “Down Under”. Rose’s reaction says it all.

Last night was unreal at Jack & Carley’s wedding at Alderbrook Resort and Spa - hands down, the craziest and most energetic wedding celebration I’ve ever been a part of. Two hours with a packed dance floor, loud, jumping up and down, fist pumping in the air - they left it all on the dance floor. Just another One of Those Nights. Of all the video taken last year, this clip from Audrey & Joe's wedding reception is my favorite. It's the last song of the evening and there is just something about it that makes it special. Did you see it? Watch as the lighting fades from purple - selected because of their love of everything University of Washington - to black, and then on cue the spotlights light up Audrey & Joe as I orchestrate one final cheer for them. Their family and friends - circled around them - kindly oblige, as we close out the night celebrating this amazing couple. It's the little things that make those key moments of a reception truly special, truly unforgettable. Shout out to my team that helps make this possible: Matt & Christian.
