Another naked cake all dressed up in fall flowers. I just love the brightnes sof these flowers. Vanilla cake with a whipped raspberry cream filling . The cupcakes are vanilla with a whipped caramel cream cheese frosting.

A special cake for a special 90th birthday girl. Chocolate with a cream cheese and cherry mousse filling. This was another joint effort cake. My daughter make the cake and I did the flowers.

Another challenging cake for me in 2 ways...I had 2 weeks notice . Their cake person bailed on them and I just happen to have the day available. The challenge was gluten free and decorated with pressed flowers. I found the perfect gluten free recipes, so the cake turned out deliciously moist...dark chocolate cake with whipped chocolate ganache and almond cake with whipped cream cheese and raspberry filling. Then I lucked out with many of the flowers around my yard that I was able to get pressed just in time. I was very happy with how this one turned out.

Getting in on the pallet knife cake decorating. Although this one tookme all day, it was a fun one to do. 2 layers of lemon with a lemon cream filling and 1 layer with vanilla cake with whipped cream cheese, fresh strawberies and a strawberry glaze.

Doing funeral flowers is always a labor of love. I like to do something that brings a personal touch to the arrangement. This one was personal to me, as well...a family member gone too soon and way too young. The big challenge with this one was that it was in Wisconsin. I had no idea it would be so difficult to find flowers in November. I guess I'm a little spoiled here in AZ with the availability we have year-round. We aere able to come up with several ornaments to add to this that all had special meaning, then the family could use the ornaments later for Christmas.

Did a birthday cake for a special young 9 year old who had very specific directions for his cake...vanilla cake with green filling, fondant over the top and sides, then vanilla frosting on top of the fondant, and a giant fondant green candle and an otange flame...so he could eat the candle. Per his grandma, we added Milk Duds...because they are his favorite. When they are THAT specific, you just don't deviate. The smile says it all.
