GHC Emergency Alert: A HIGH WIND WARNING is in effect until 4 AM SATURDAY.

South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected on the Central Coast and North Coast. Wind gusts to 60 mph have been observed in Hoquiam and La Push.

Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.


WIND ADVISORY is still in effect until 6 PM THIS EVENING and now includes all of Grays Harbor County. South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.


HIGH SURF ADVISORY is still in effect until 10 PM THIS EVENING. Seas building to 20-24 feet and beach erosion is possible. Large waves may wash over beaches, jetties, and other structures unexpectedly. People can be swept off rocks and jetties while observing high surf.

We have had several customers reach out to us wanting beef but our annual slaughter cows are all sold. We can however, provide boxed beef, pork and burger through our son’s company - Montana Meat Company.

Cole ships the first week of every month from Montana. This is a great option for those wanting grass fed grass finished beef without having to purchase or half or whole cow.

Beef customers: If all goes well we will be slaughtering the last three cows tomorrow or Wednesday!

We will send notice to you as soon as they are transferred to the butcher shop!

It’s been a crazy, crazy year getting the slaughter guys and butcher shops on the same page!

They are horribly short of help and difficult to find people who want to keep this trade alive. Simply put, hometown butchers and mobile slaughter trucks are far and few between. It’s so sad and so hard to get them to rural areas!

We will keep you posted! Crossing our fingers!

"Barb was incredibly helpful with the planning process. She took time to send us as many pictures as possible and speak on the phone with us whenever we needed. She was also very accommodating to all of our requests. The venue itself was beyond anything the pictures could’ve showed. It was absolutely stunning. We had a small wedding of about 50 guests and the spaces provided worked perfectly, although they can also accommodate larger weddings. The location was gorgeous, but the most lasting impact was the great customer service and friendly hosts. We can’t thank The Elkhorn Ranch enough for helping us create the perfect day."
