Happy Valentine’s Day! To say it was a crazy day is an understatement. Started the day with my baby girl getting sick on me. Thankfully I have a mother-in-law that will happily come and save the day. And of course the rest of my family, who I could never do this without. Then we ran out of flowers and had to start turning orders away (guys, let this be a lesson!) I will say that this was the first Valentine’s Day that I was home before 7 pm, so I could hold my babies and put them to bed, which is the very reason why I decided to do studio hours! But besides all the craziness and hectic day, I wanted to thank everyone who ordered flowers with me! Your support means the world to this small business owner 😊

ANNOUNCEMENT!!! After much deliberation, I have decided to transition Lavish to a studio florist starting January 1st. What does that mean? It means I will continue to provide floral services but not have regular store hours. In other words, I will be there when I need to be there. I’ll continue to offer local delivery, funeral arrangements and of course weddings. But if you pop by to shop, I may not be there, and orders will need to be placed at least 24 hours in advance. This decision has been over a year in the making, after I had my daughter.

2021 and 2022 created some major changes in my life, when I had my first baby in September 2021 and then my second in November 2022. Having two young children and trying to run a full service florist, I felt overwhelmed under the pressure of being the business owner and mother that I wanted to be. This business model allows me the flexibility to be the kind of mom I hope to be for my two amazing kids while continuing to do what I love.
