Our president, Donald J. Trump will be visiting Downtown Racine at Festival Hall tomorrow, Tuesday, June 18th, at 3 pm! So sad our pedal pub bike couldn't be there to celebrate! I'll be there though, to help cheer on the most famous politically convicted felon of our time. MAGA BABY!! All small businesses should vote red to protect your legacy. This corrupt, democrat Racine government has proven they don't care about small businesses and the livelihoods of the owners who try to bring goodness to their community. My business is a prime example of how easily money and power can crush competition. I support President Trump, and if my business was still around, we would proudly pedal through downtown with Trump merch tomorrow!!

I've faced many obstacles to get this business off the ground. I never wanted a loan. I never wanted to borrow money to get this bike. For 2 years I worked my ass off trying to find partners, investors, and sponsors, because I couldn't bear the thought of having it taken away if things didn't go just right.

Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened though. I was gifted money for the down payment with a promise the rest would come. Instead, I was betrayed and forced into a quick loan I absolutely didn't want. But I had no choice. The bike was built and I was responsible for the balance becauseit was on my name.

Most businesses, when facing a financial crisis, reach out to their community, customers, and partners to seek help in salvaging their dream. I have one last hope of keeping this bike for a fresh new beginning next year.

I need $1000 by tomorrow to keep my insurance and get my loan payment up to date before it's repossessed. I have new things on the horizon that will provide the means to keep up with both payments until I can start again next spring. I just don't have this amount now. I'm so willing to pay someone back over time, or offer a partnership for the new mobile business model I have ready for next year. My bank is willing to let me pay only interest for the next 6 months to help, if I can get the loan up to date; same with my insurance. THEY are showing me grace, and I believe it's a sign that I'm meant to keep this dream alive.

I'm praying for a miracle. So many of you have been so loyal and your help would be greatly appreciatedv at this critical point in time. Again, I'd NEVER ask without offering some sort of payment, barter, or tradeoff in return.

I'm fighting to keep this dream alive that I went through hell and back to achieve. If you, or anyone you know, would be interested in helping me, please get in touch with me ASAP.

I know yesterday I posted a new logo and updates to my website. However, I've been desperately clinging onto a dream that cannot become a reality at this time. I've been in absolute denial of my reality here in Racine.

I had been holding on for Pleasant Prairie to finally pass the ordinance for me to operate there, but was told that everything that had been promised to me by Visit Pleasant Prairie was not applicable to the Village itself. In fact, the ordinance clearly states that I cannot store or park my bike anywhere on Village facilities or grounds, I cannot operate during any special events, and the trails have been regulated to limit any capacity to ride on them. My route was not approved, and I literally have nowhere to run my business now...but at least there's an ordinance. 🙄

I also discovered that Kenosha's pedal pub is booming with prices at $450 per private ride. She's booked solid up until the first week of November. So my theory as to why I'm not getting bookings because of the economy can't be my issue here in Racine. It simply has to be Racine itself, because even my competitor isn't getting any bookings.

My only other option was to make my bike mobile. And while that's a great plan with a big market, the timing is all wrong with winter on its way. I tried to keep my business afloat by offering these amazing Halloween and zoo rides, and spent my last $100 in ads. I had over 500 hits on the website and over 2000 views on the ads...but not one single booking. It's baffling to me to say the least.

I've tried to get feedback on why no one is booking so I could at least try to resolve the issue, but no one offered anything. One person did tell me that I was the problem. And if that's the real reason, then I'm mortified and immensely sorry. I have no idea what could have caused an entire city to hate me, but apparently I have.

Others told me I was blacklisted by my competitor. While I'm sure a lot of damage was done to my reputation by my ex-partner before the bike even got here. Who knows. All I know is that the dream I built for 2 years, and fought so hard for, has officially come to an end.

I'm forced to sell my bike because my loan is in default and I've lost my insurance. I had hoped the fall rides would have helped me at least pay those things so I could hold off for the spring season, but that didn't happen... so I have lost everything.

For those of you who supported me, I can't thank you enough. You gave me so much hope that I could do this. You believed in me and did all you could to help me. I truly appreciate all of you, and please know, I had the best of times with you!!

Today is Day!!

My name is Tristine Fleming. I'm the owner and operator of Heavy Pedal Tours. 20 years ago I left the stress and politics of Corporate America to become a tour guide. It was a huge risk, but one I don't regret at all.

Today I'm 55 years old, and I started this business for several reasons:

👑 I love making people happy
👑 I wanted to use my party bike as a way to unite people again
👑 I enjoy meeting new people
👑 I wanted to give families and people with disabilities something fun to do
👑 I wanted a way to be financially independent, and secure a good future for my son
👑 I wanted this to be the last job I'd ever do
👑 I wanted to be my own boss and do something that truly makes me happy.

I just acquired my pedal party bike in July, and starting a business has been a roller coaster of emotions. However, I know I was meant to do this and work hard every day to build a strong and successful business.

Meet my baby, Tavin. He's the reason I do this. He's the reason that bike is behind me. He is the force that kept me going through all the hell I went through, and I'm still going through. I want him to understand that if you work hard for what you want you can make it happen, even if the odds are against you. I want him to know that success is what you make it, even when you're failing miserably. I want him to see that you can win if you fight for what's right. I need this business to succeed...for him. He deserves a better life, and I want to give him that.

has been a loyal supporter of Heavy Pedal since the beginning. She's faithfully followed my journey, and won a giveaway when I thought I'd be operating in Kenosha. She showed up for my grand opening, which wasn't so grand, but she made me feel like it was. She then booked a ride for the Super Moon, and I instantly fell in love with her kids!

Kayla doesn't just support me though. She's a HUGE supporter of local businesses. It's one of the things I admire the most about her. She said she was going to book, and kept her word. I love people like Kayla!! 🥰
