The Meredith Autism Program (MAP) provides early intervention for autistic preschoolers using Applied Behavior Analysis. MAP addresses the needs and builds on the strengths of each individual child, and provides guidance and support for family members. MAP also offers Meredith undergraduate students a unique clinical experience.

Jones Auditorium built in 1949 underwent renovations in summer 2023. The project included new seating, new carpet, lighting, sound system, a new mechanical lift for accessibility, and general upgrades. Phase one of the renovation is supported by a lead gift from Lisa Robie Poole, ‘86, and her husband, Ven Poole. Meredith College welcomed new students for Move-In Day on August 19, with student leaders, including Orientation Crew and Student Advisors, alumnae, and employees all showing support for the Class of 2027. Meredith’s incoming class includes approximately 420 new undergraduate students, including 340 new first-year students. The College also welcomed 81 transfer, second-degree, or readmitted students. Members of this class come from North Carolina and 18 other states and the countries of Guatemala, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Trinidad & Tobago.

Meredith College Move-In Day 2022
Meredith College held Move-In Day for the Class of 2026 on Saturday, August 20, 2022. And although the rainy weather initially impacted some aspects of Move-In, such as the iconic balloon arch, nothing could dampen the welcoming spirit. Student leaders, alumnae volunteers, and other Meredith community members were on hand to celebrate their arrival.
New students, including first-year, transfer, and graduate students, came to Meredith this year from 20 states, including California, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Montana, and 14 countries including Bangladesh, China, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kenya, and Spain.
Passion for Learning About the World – Olivia Slack, ’22
Experiential learning including studying abroad, leadership roles, and undergraduate research provided Olivia Slack, ’22, with many opportunities to explore her interests while at Meredith College.
