VENDOR SPOTLIGHT
This month's vendor spotlight goes to Drew Williams from Signature Sound & Lighting. Drew is an incredible DJ that knows how to get guests out on the dance floor. He isn't afraid to put his own sparkle in the mix to make sure this happens. Drew is very easy to work with, understanding, and helpful with whatever the couple desires or curveballs thrown his way. This being said, the last time we worked with him, plans changed quite a bit and he did a phenomenal job with this. If you are looking for an excellent DJ who is also affordable, give Drew Williams a call.

They say when it rains on your wedding day, good luck is given to the newlyweds throughout their marriage. Does that go for the power going out too? July 6th, 2024, is definitely one for the books. The day started with a Catholic Mass and wedding ceremony. Guests then reunited at the reception venue which was decorated more on the simple side but still beautiful. Our bride and groom, Erin and Tim Renfrow participated in many dances between the two of them throughout the night as well as a dance with their parents. Erin’s dad was even wheeled onto the dance floor to dance with his little girl. Eventually, the dance floor was open to all, and this is the part where we would include “and they danced the night away”. Plans don’t always go how you want them to. With the help of a really big storm outside, the power went out. In our case, that was still okay! A big speaker was brought in, and the music and dancing continued. The final send-off did look a little different, however. Due to the weather, guests lined up the dance floor and as Erin and Tim enjoyed their last dance, guests were showering them with bubbles as a final wish! Congratulations again to the Renfrow’s!!

Mazel Tov to the Moores! June 1st, 2024, Tiana and Lee Moore celebrated their marriage gathered by many friends and family. The day started by getting married in a beautiful garden under the Chuppah, which is a Jewish canopy that couples typically get married under. Tiana’s dad, who cant really walk much, even stood up to walk his daughter down the aisle which made many tear up. Of course, the groom stomped on the glass towards the end of the ceremony. Next was the reception. The wedding party was announced followed by the first dance right before dinner. After the other typical dances, the bride, groom, and guests gathered and formed two circles to perform the Hora dance. This is also known as the chair dance where the bride and groom are sitting in a chair and then lifted into the air. Eventually, it was time to cut the cake which of course started an icing fight between Tiana and Lee. Later on, everyone danced the night away on the dance floor outside before their beautiful sparkler (fiber wand) send off. Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Tiana and Lee Moore!

Backyard wedding? More like a family farm wedding. May 11th, 2024, Ashley and Paul Lewis celebrated their marriage surrounded by family and friends from all over along with their 2 horses Cash and Scooter. Guests were able to feed these two guests of honor throughout the wedding. This weekend was extra special considering it was the same weekend as their first date 9 years ago. This beautiful day started of course with the ceremony where the Lewis’ incorporate the God’s Knot. The God’s Knot symbolizes the unity of one man, one woman, and God as a marriage. Now it’s time for the reception. With rustic but elegant décor with colors of sage and a hint of blush, guests joined together for special dances and dinner alongside live bluegrass music. Towards the end of the night, the couple did a fake send off with flower petals but of course came back to celebrate some more. It was a simple yet romantic wedding that couldn’t have gone any better. Congratulations again to Ashley and Paul Lewis!!

On top of a short notice wedding, we went the unconventional route of having it at an animal sanctuary. Jackie Gilson coordinated our son, and daughter-in-laws wedding, which was held this past weekend at our family farm. Jackie did an outstanding job in facilitating all aspects of the wedding! Oh, what can we say? April 27th is definitely one to remember. Between room flips, dragonflies, the bride and groom taking over the DJ stand, and a surprise last dance song from the groom to the bride which of course ended in tears of joy. This special day belonged to Ohoud and Drew D’Asaro. Even though this happy couple was already legally married, they enjoyed their wedding day to celebrate with their family and closest friends. With lots of pampa’s grass and white and blush florals with the brick from the venue, the hall turned out perfectly. Guests enjoyed entertainment throughout cocktail hour and the reception between dancing, specialty cocktails by the bride and groom, and a photobooth. This day could not have gone any better for Ohoud and Drew! We started with a short ceremony followed by cocktail hour. Looking at those drinks mentioned earlier, Ohoud’s specialty drink was “Peach of My Heart” and Drew’s was “Mint To Be”. Guests “signed” the guest book by taking polaroid pictures and got to have fun in the photobooth. Next came the reception. Followed by the wedding party hyping the guests up, the bride and groom entered with a little twirl immediately into their first dance. This was then followed by an outfit change to dance the night away until it was time to light up the night sky, not with stars, (although that was their final dance where Drew chose the song for Ohoud to find out when it started), but with sparklers. Congratulations once again to the D’Asaros!

VENDOR SPOTLIGHT:
This months vendor spotlight goes to MacGregor Downs Country Club. Although we haven't done a wedding here YET, we have participated in their first wedding expo and had a blast. We were able to meet some of the staff and get to know them. They were really easy to work with in regards to the expo and are very helpful with any questions someone may have! This venue is beautiful with views of the golf course and a lake with a fountain in the middle. Are you looking for a venue? Keep MacGregor Downs in mind?
