ALLIE🖤 Having a job that I absolutely love and look forward to is for sure one of my greatest blessings . If you had asked me in high school what I was passionate about truly ....I would have said photography .....but I couldn't fathom having a successful career one day doing what I love . I stood on the sidelines of football games and school functions capturing memories with my Pentax K 1000 camera that my father bought me for my 16th birthday from Kmart down the street. I guess he could see my passion. In college at UNC CH I took pictures for the but got my degree and became a school teacher for 5 years. It wasn't until a few years later that my then husband .1991 and friends encouraged me to explore being a professional photographer . I had the courage to ask a local incredible photographer if I could work for her for free and be a sponge. I am beyond thankful for for giving me a chance . I also took lots of classes at a community college and signed up for workshops . When I moved to Raleigh 18 years ago, I was blessed to meet amazing clients who took a leap of faith and tried me as their family photographer and so many others. This is a thankful post. Thankful for all the people in my life who have believed in me and supported me. It's true, when love what you do, you never work a day in your life . I am so thankful Allie chose me for her senior pictures . 🖤
