To Mothers of Angels,

Words escape me in a sense because what do you say to a person who was blessed to create and carry life for it to only be taken away so tragically. What I will start by saying is, I am so sorry, sis.

I can imagine the excitement of seeing the positive pregnancy test but I cannot fathom the devastation of having to labor the loss of what once brought immense joy. Not to mention, many of you experienced this in silence. My heart breaks for each and every one of you! 💔....
I honor you for your strength. I honor you for your perseverance. I honor you for your heart. I honor you for your sacrifice.

Your angels will never be forgotten. If it's not too painful, I encourage you to find ways to keepsake the memory of your children. The Angel Mother pictured has a portrait keepsake and it was so special to hear her tell her story behind it. If she'll allow me, I'll explain in an upcoming blog.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. So, today and everyday we honor you ladies and the precious lives you carried. ❣️

✨Motherhood: Expecting✨.
To Expecting Mothers,

For your sacrifice of body and strength. The stretching, the pulling, the lines across your belly, the back and hip pain, the swollen nose and feet. The NAUSEA! The unsatisfying cravings. The discomfort. The insomnia. 💪🏽

For your mental and emotional stamina. The pregnancy brain. The constant thoughts of your future little and how things will be when they arrive. The explosion of love that you feel, so bad it hurts, for someone you haven't even met yet.❤️‍🩹

Not to mention the heighten sense of protection that arrests your soul for your baby. Or having to set boundaries with loved ones that your belly is not to be rubbed at this time, plus we're still in a pandemic. 🤰🏽.

✨A Tribute✨.
So, story time! Back in April I got an idea to do a photography project honoring many aspects of Motherhood. It was entitled; "Motherhood: A Tribute" and I wanted to put it out in May close to Mother's Day.

I scouted for the models I wanted to feature and turned my backyard into an oasis to capture some amazing images in their honor. Things were going great but of course there were some bumps in the road; weather caused me to have to reschedule some dates then my mom got sick and I was very apprehensive to complete this project without her. Nonetheless, I preservered and captured as many Mothers as I could. I wanted this to be special and thought if I could just get it out to the public I would have accomplished my goal! I even recorded BTS footage and posted that the project was on the way. 😊

Then, I lost one of my SD cards that had half of my photos on it! 😩 Yep, before I could save the photos to my backup drive, I lost it. I mean, it was gone... I looked for it for months, literally! And if you know me, then you know I'm not putting anything out that's half-way done! I was so discouraged. Honestly, I felt like it was a sign that I should just give up on photography. 😪....
But yall, guess what?! My SD card popped up last week!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Ain't God, alright?? So as embarrassed as I am that it's so late, this project is being released!

First post goes up, next week. Stay tuned, for real this time! 😉😂.....
