We need a little sunshine on our feeds.

When we met Taliana expressed a deep desire to have a wedding that honored both of their cultures. We needed to find a way to bring in the warm, colorful tropical colors and florals of Taliana’s beloved Puerto Rico and the sacred, traditional and vibrant traditions of Ravi’s South Asian culture.

The result was a beautiful celebration of culture, love and family.

Someone asked me what my favorite wedding was and my answer will always remain the same. The weddings that reflect the couple and their rich background, beliefs and relationship.

As a Connecticut native snow is something I’m VERY familiar with. While we don’t love the frigid temps, we can’t deny the beauty of a winter wedding.

Since moving to North Carolina we haven’t had the traditional winter wedding. It’s been a little chilly but not in need of a fur cold.

I’m excited to play in the snow today with a team of some of my favorite creatives. And yes, there will be fur.

It’s Friday. So time for an introduction. I started this business twelve years ago with an infant in my arms (scroll to see how big he is now) and a mission to showcase love stores of all forms - particularly the kind that are often underrepresented in the luxury wedding space. It’s my why and whenever a couple tells me they see themselves in my branding it motivates me to keep pushing.

One time for the birthday girl. ME!Today is my birthday! My plans include Netflix, and waiting for a pair of shoes from Sean to be delivered. And yes, I sent him the link and suggested he purchase them. In the most subtle way possible, of course. 😂

It’s Friday and since y’all usually like introductions, I figured my bday was a good day to say hey.

I’m Lauren. Lead planner and owner of Lauren O & Co. I love a good party, a well designed tablescape and logistics. I’ve been planning weddings for 13 years. I’m married to the best man on the planet, Sean. And I’m helping him raise his kids, Evan & Maia. 😂 I’m case you can’t tell I’m also a part-time comedian and available for hire.

My very first job was as a window fashions specialist at Sears. I’m still not sure why they thought a 16yr old would know anything about window fashions. 😂. But I was young and eager to learn.

While I did learn a ton about fabrics, measurements and design, the thing that was emphasized and stuck with me the most was - be of service.

I’m dating myself but if you ever had the pleasure of shopping at Sears, you know their service was top notch. We were trained to listen, to be thoughtful and to anticipate a customer’s need so that we could meet it.

In this business, service is what sets Lauren O & Co. apart. We book a limited number of full service clients each year (15 to be exact) so that we can be hands on and provide each of our clients the level of care and service they deserve. If that means designing your wedding website or handling your RSVPs is a pain point for you - we are happy to take it on.

We don’t believe that you should sacrifice your quality of life to plan your wedding. Instead, we want to be of service to you and help make this process as painless as possible.

Also, if you’re buying a house and buying curtains - I can help with too. 😂😉

I love to entertain. That should come as no shock since I’m a wedding planner. 😉

When I’m planning events I’m not just thinking about how it looks but the overall guest experience.

That’s what sets your wedding apart - a memorable guest experience. As we’re working on design I listen to everything you tell me and I’m thinking of ways to elevate the overall experience.

Remembering your family is originally from Nigeria, so finding ways to incorporate traditional foods into your menu. Listening to you when you say your Mom is struggling with her mobility so considering how far she will need to walk from the parking lot. Remembering that Dad loves coffee after dinner, so making sure we bring him a fresh cup as the last course is wrapping up. Or remembering that your family hails from Louisiana so naturally we need to have a seafood boil at your welcome party!

As you’re thinking of your wedding day, remember that the experience goes beyond design. People appreciate the small things.

Believe it or not, I’m not a Valentine’s Day girl. I love all the pink and the sweet treats but I buy myself (and send my husband links so he can buy me) gifts all year. 😂

Looking at the photos you’d never know we planned this celebration in under six weeks. How? Vendor connections, a proven planning process, a heavy focus on logistics and experience.

I’ll say it again, wedding planning is about so much more than a pretty table. Here we focus on logistics just as heavily because logistics impact guest experience and we want to be sure the event wasn’t just beautiful but a joy to experience in the moment.
