While we typically don’t get involved with politics, recent events have made it impossible not to speak up.

The mass deportations and their impact on families, the harmful accusations about DEI hiring regarding the recent accident in DCA, and the rise in discrimination are deeply concerning to us. This issue is especially personal for our team, as many of our members are aviation professionals who understand the critical importance of safety, competency, and experience—regardless of background. Additionally, some of our team members have been directly affected by mass deportations, making this matter even more pressing for us.

As a result of the current administration's stance, First Class Event Services was removed from the government’s vendor list, not because we’re unqualified, because we have consistently proven that through our work on thousands of events over the past 15 years, but because we were listed as a DEI vendor/contract—simply because we are a minority-owned business.

We’re making some exciting changes to improve how we serve you!

For years, Christopher Rivera has been personally responding to phone calls and messages, and while he has truly loved connecting with all of you, it’s become increasingly difficult to manage the growing number of inquiries. With hundreds of calls and texts daily, it’s resulted in missed opportunities to respond promptly—and we want to change that!

Starting Wednesday, all bookings and inquiries must go through our website or email. This allows our dedicated Support Team to respond quickly and efficiently while ensuring nothing gets missed.

• If you call or text Christopher Rivera directly, we will no longer be able to communicate effectively with you.

• Chris could be anywhere in the world, in any time zone, due to his commitments as a flight attendant. This makes it difficult for him to book events or respond to business-related messages promptly.

It has come to our attention that airlines are starting to announce rescue flights in response to the hurricane. If you or anyone you know is in need of travel assistance, we strongly encourage you to call airlines directly regarding these rescue flights.

Our team at First Class Event Services is working around the clock, 24/7, to offer free travel services to help schedule flights or other travel departing from Florida due to the hurricane. Please share this information to help those in need of assistance.

This hurricane is projected to be catastrophic, and we’re already setting up plans to help in the recovery. To those in the path of the storm, please stay safe and make sure to let your loved ones know you’re okay.

Hurricane Milton Update:
Temporary Closures for Tampa & Orlando Locations

Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Milton, we are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of our team and clients. As a precaution, all Tampa and Orlando locations will be closed for the next two weeks.

During this time, any scheduled events and meetings are being postponed or canceled. This decision allows our Florida team members the necessary time to prepare, evacuate, and focus on their safety without concerns about work.

Due to Hurricane Helene and the safety of our Team Members and clients, we have decided to cancel ALL EVENTS in Georgia and Florida for this weekend and next. We’ve also discontinued accepting new First Class Travel Service requests until October 1st, 2024.

Our team has communicated these cancellations via emails and phone calls. If you haven’t received one, please keep an eye out for an email and reach out to our Leadership or Planning Team if needed. Please be patient as we currently only have two Team Members working around the clock, remotely, to ensure the safety of everyone involved in those regions.

The safety of our Team Members and our clients is our highest priority, and we believe no event is worth risking anyone’s safety.
