When we got these gorgeous handmade vessels, we intended to use them for grand orchid clients. This client had a different idea, and we are loving it! Best thing, they can bring the vase back and we’ll refill it with any flowers or plants they want!

We just got these gorgeous hand-cut rose quartz hearts in the shop. Rose quartz is said to promote love and compassion, healing and acceptance. And it feels amazing to wrap your hands around these crystals. 💗

It’s nice to take a moment to sit back and reflect on our first full week at Lollia Blooms. It was both joyful and a little bittersweet. It was joyful, simply, because this is a joyful place to work. Our team creates such a positive environment, we get to work with the most beautiful flowers, and it’s a delight to connect with our clients and neighbors. There are so many amazing, female business owners in the village, and I was so blessed to connect with a few of them this week. Thank you for your generous time and support this week.

And it was bittersweet because we did a lot of sympathy work. That means some of our friends and neighbors are suffering loss and pain right now. While we do all of our work with care and intention, there’s something special about sympathy arrangements. So much thought and love and emotion goes into those flowers, when loved ones try to convey those sentiments that are so difficult to put in words. And maybe dealing with their own grief. So it is an honor to craft those arrangements and all they represent.

I wish I had taken some photos of the lovely work our designers did this week, but in the rush of the day, and the need to get those flowers out into the world, it’s sometimes hard to do. We’ll try again next week.

What an amazing first day it was for Lollia Blooms in our new location in Rancho Santa Fe!

It has been a long, strange journey since that day in July of 2020 when I decided I was going to leave my career in healthcare to become a florist. I started at the bottom: washing buckets and cleaning flowers while learning everything I could about floristry. My husband was a saint when I turned our kitchen into a permanent floral studio, leaves and stems and vases everywhere. And then I had the amazing opportunity to be the manager of Third Bloom, where I felt I had found my home. When the owner, Jen, gave me the opportunity to take over her space, it was a literal dream come true.

I am beyond blessed to live my dream in a space that has become my home and heart. And my bigger blessing is the team I get to work with: Rona, Mary Anne, Sarah, Nicola, Kori. Clients of Third Bloom know how amazing these women are and what passion they bring each and every day.

I cannot wait for what tomorrow holds, and I’m so happy to have you on this journey.
