Check it out! This was taken late June by Backwoods Apiary when our Folgate lavender was in bloom. Funny coincidence this little fella has the same color arms that we do when we process that same variety of lavender....glad I stumbled across these photos. If you didn't know, they now have hives even closer to our fields for a shorter flight, -and- we have it in stock online and with us at the Packwood Saturday Market!

We at the farm are taking the day to relax, clean up, and take a break from the heat but we still have a lot of lavender to start harvesting this week. We've been silent this winter for a reason, here's what we have been up to...
We have flat ground, but it's smooth and easy to collect snow up with a bucket...so after done clearing out the driveway we scooped up a bit with the tractor and pushed some up with the dozer out in the pasture to make a snow castle for the kids, grandpa tried it too.
