I have been a race fan for roughly 55 years...seen alot of races...been to over 35 race tracks.
I'm here trying to get BHS back to it's heyday. In the early 70's they had what was called the KOTA Nationals 4 classes of cars, from many states. Alot of heavy hitters came to race.
Back to 4 classes of cars....this simplify's many things, first the purse, instead of spreading the purse over 6-7 classes, 4 classes get more money in their respective classes, with 6-7 classes, they get less.
Also with 4 classes, each class would have more cars...instead most classes barely having 5-8 at times, rather boring for a race fan.
Being 350 miles from most tracks doesn't help the situation at all. Every one of those tracks has different classes and different sanction bodies.
Having 4 classes would/should improve car counts, thus increasing the fan base, which would increase the purse.
Believe me for I know that purses would never justify racing at all but would help a racers pocket book and get to the next race.
Simply put, 6-7 classes of cars is stupid!
