A French native, Brigitte learned French cuisine from her elders. Her grand-mothers, from Normandie and from Flanders, shared their cooking recipes as Brigitte grew with them in beautiful Normandie. Brigitte, always a passionate learner, was exposed to a wide array of techniques and unique use of ingredients. Later in life, Brigitte and her family lived in the French Carribbeans. There she fell in
love with the Creole culture and cooking. In Martinique, she was given the opportunity to open up to new ingredients and new techniques. The "Das" (creole nannies) passed on to her the secrets ingredients of recipes, culinary tips and advice to master the flavors and strengths of the local spices. Brigitte particularly owes her Creole culinary education to "Da Cécile", the nanny of her then husband Gilbert. Today living in Acadiana, Brigitte spoils her foodie friends with lavish dinner parties. This opportunity of a lifetime, the many places she has lived in and friends she has made, has enabled her to design an innovative cooking style. French experience?
