Join a noble cause at the inaugural Cheval Court Medieval Festival, a day of medieval marvels dedicated to supporting Angel Horses.

Organized by the fine folks behind the Montana Renaissance Festival, this festival is brimming with chivalry and enchantment.

Experience the thrill of medieval jousting and the precision of archery with performances by The Order of Epona Jousting and Lady Faeowin. Marvel at majestic raptors and enjoy four stages bustling with lively performers including the harmonious Chaste Treasure and the Tramps and Hawkers.

The Marketplace of Majesty and Culinary Delights offers everything from exquisite jewelry to delectable turkey legs.

Proceeds from the days' festivities support the efforts of Angel Horses, Inc., a nonprofit charity in Billings that is giving horses, kids and "kids at heart" a second chance. Their mission is to provide positive physical and emotional stimulus through the use of rescued animals such as horses, donkeys, dogs and cats in a therapeutic environment.

My People! Tis time for my annual "Thank you everybody that helped make this years Festival a mind boggling success!"address.
Firstly, our head of security, setup, teardown and anything else he's needed for, Jumpin' Joe Lindau. Secondly, the head of our Decor Committee, Bodacious Beth Agnew, without whom the Renaissance would just be a glorified rodeo. And thirdly, our Mistress of Maps and Verifier of Vendors, Marvelous Megan Agnew. These are the "Behind the Scenes" folk ,who, along with Dashing Doug McIssacc, our Social Media/Advertising Director, work all year to bring this festival together. Without them there would be no Montana Renaissance Festival......and....Onward:

Hark! Gather 'round and hear the grand tidings of our Costume Contest at the Montana Renaissance Festival 2024! The festival grounds were awash with an array of splendid costumes, showcasing the boundless creativity and dedication of our noble participants.

In the Adult category, the illustrious Eric Mitchell claimed the top honor with his portrayal of The English Samurai, also known as William Adams or John Blackthorne. His intricate armor and commanding presence were a sight to behold. The second-place accolade was awarded to the enchanting Jacinta, who dazzled as a whimsical Fawn, capturing the hearts of all with her graceful attire. Our third-place winner, Chandler Middlemas, brought joy and laughter with a vibrant pink and yellow jester costume, spreading merriment wherever they went.

In the Adult Group category, Tyler and Zac triumphed with their fearsome pirate ensemble, a duo that truly embodied the spirit of the high seas. Their costumes were a masterful blend of detail and authenticity, earning them well-deserved praise.

Our young contestants were equally impressive. In the Child category, the first-place prize went to Alek Rasmussen, who transformed into TukTuk the Goblin with remarkable skill and imagination. Haden captured the second-place honor as the Dark Fairy Princess, enchanting the judges with a costume that was both dark and delightful.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our winners and participants. Your extraordinary costumes brought the festival to life and transported us all to a world of fantasy and wonder. Huzzah to your exceptional efforts and creativity!

To those who donned the garb of the past and lent their hands to the tasks of the present, we offer our sincerest thanks. From the early morn to the setting sun, ye toiled with joy and grace, ensuring that each moment of the festival was steeped in magic and wonder.

Your contributions were as varied as the festival itself: setting up the grand tents, guiding noble guests, assisting artisans, and bringing to life the very spirit of the Renaissance. Thy deeds did not go unnoticed, and every smile and cheer was a testament to your hard work.

The festival grounds were more than just a place of merriment; they were a community, built and sustained by your generous hearts. Know that each joust, dance, and song was made possible by your efforts.

Hear ye, hear ye! The Montana Renaissance Festival hath drawn noble visitors from near and far! From the heart of Montana to distant lands across the seas, our revelers came forth to partake in the merriment and grandeur.

Behold the diverse locales from whence our esteemed guests traveled:

Even from across the seas in the Netherlands and France!

In total, we welcomed attendees from over 30 different states and four countries, creating a vibrant tapestry of cultures and communities. The festival grounds were alive with the spirit of camaraderie, as folk from myriad regions joined in joyous celebration.

We thank each and every one of you for making this year's festival a resounding success.

PS - We know it's highly unlikely that they flew from France etc for our Festival, but they bought tickets on our website and came to our event.

Hear ye, hear ye! This past Saturday morn at the hour of ten, the gates to our splendid Montana Renaissance Festival swung wide to welcome thee.

Many came forth and immersed themselves in a realm of merriment and medieval wonders. Gallant knights engaged in combat, the melodies of minstrels charmed all who listened, and the wares of our talented vendors were perused with delight.

Thirsts were quenched with the finest meads and ales, hearty feasts were partaken, and young ones reveled in the delights of the Pirates Induction and array of other wonderful Children's activities. It was a celebration not to be missed, where history and fantasy entwined to create a magical experience for all.

Together, we celebrated the grandeur of the Renaissance with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories.

Stay tuned, for more photos and edited videos coming soon, but here's how it looked as we prepared to open the gates Saturday morning.

Huzzah and heartfelt thanks to all who joined us at the Montana Renaissance Festival 2024! We are overjoyed to announce that we more than doubled last year’s attendance, welcoming over 18,000 enthusiastic attendees!

We apologize for the delays Saturday. We made adjustments and by Sunday, we had well over 1,000 people through the gate within 10 minutes of opening. Thanks to these efforts, we kept lines down to virtually no wait. While having almost as many attendees as ur best day last year.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our amazing volunteers, wonderful vendors, talented performers, and all our cherished patrons. Your support and participation made this festival truly fantastic. Here’s to the magic we created together, and to many more memorable festivals to come!
