There is a chance of rain and storms this weekend, 🌧 and maybe you were hesitant to let strangers stay in your home, so you did not sign up to be a Host Home in Red Oak, 🚴🏠 but with the possibility of inclement weather you would now be willing to open up a basement or living room temporarily for people to hang out in until the worst of it passes?
To let riders know you are open to having them in your home last minute, please put a red light bulb (for Red Oak) in your porch light, so they know they can ask if you have room for them. 🚨
Thank you to everyone who already opened their homes to welcome these strangers, but soon to be friends! 😊

BATTLE OF THE TOWNS! We're following the lead of Glenwood Ragbrai , St Charles Ragbrai 2024 , and Atlantic RAGBRAI and challenging them to a friendly game of "who can sell the most porta pots?" 😜

Hello, wonderful people of Red Oak! 🧡🌳 As many of you know, RAGBRAI is fast approaching, and our lovely town is on the route this year! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the beauty and community spirit of Red Oak to visitors from all over. 😍🤝
In preparation for this exciting event, we are asking Red Oak Residents to help! We believe that a clean town is a happy town, and we want to put our best foot forward. Here’s how you can help:
▪️ When you are out on a walk in this gorgeous weather take a small trash bag along and pick up any trash you notice. (a ziplock baggie makes a good make-shift glove in a pinch!)
▪️ Work on your home's curb appeal! Maybe there is some bushes that need pruning or some leaves you have been meaning to rake up? Now is the time!
▪️ Pull weeds you see in side walk cracks! No one likes when those pesky things come up in the middle of the side walk, so help a neighbor out and pull theirs too!
Whether you have an hour to spare or can dedicate a whole day, your help will make a significant difference. Let’s band together to beautify our streets, parks, and public spaces. 🌱 It’s not just about picking up trash; it’s about taking pride in our community and making it a welcoming place for all! 🚴 🧡
