I am really trying to enjoy the small moments like this one with Lyla. We had a good meeting with our accountant and are trying to wrap up the books for 2024.
It’s ok to be silly. Just keeping it real, raw and relatable.
Did you know that…
Dahlias can be grown from seed and after the season is over you can dig them up and find tubers under the ground.
Here is the catch…..
Not ever seedling is a keeper only the 🦄.
This lovely lady was composted.
It’s a cutthroat game out there, and not ever seedling survives.

Meet Miss….
Mystique is a 2-3” wide and completely sassy. She has some great tuber production and because of her size she is great for flower arranging. She is a variety you can expect to see in 2025!

Year one for us has been all about…
Our Mistakes and learning from them.
Finding our MVP: bouquets and and the flowers in them. We needed to find a market of our ideal customers who’d want them 💐, all while “Ballin on a Budget.”
I am not going to lie, Ballin on a Budget is hard.
I’m here to tell you we may have stayed close as possible but we exceeded it. At the end of the day it just meant it would eat back into our Net Profit.
But, we’re learning, earning and growing.
Lots of failures but year one ☝🏼 is on the books!

The season is coming to an end….
Throughout September we will be at the Goodhue Farmers Market on Wednesday from 3-6pm. And our Blumen Stand will be open Fridays and Sundays at our home from 8-5pm.
If you haven’t come out to see us but want to your opportunity to do so is becoming limited.
September is Dahlia season but a lot of what we have left in our fields is promised to others. Don’t miss out on our Blumen Stand hours.

Do I doubt my abilities? You bet I do! The more I practice the more confidence I get. I Love waking up early, having some coffee, cutting flowers and working with my 🙌🏽 hands.
