Hiring a planner means hiring someone to handle the last minute pivots that come with weddings. 🙌🏼
At this wedding, we had spotted rain showers all day and weren’t sure if we’d be able to have our reception outdoors or not. Tracking the radar all day, our team made the last minute decision to move indoors. Minutes after we were set up inside it began POURING rain. Moral of the story- always have a plan B when possible. In NorCal you never know when the heat, wind, rain or smoke will make you pivot. Thankful for my team that’s always up for a challenge and always working hard (with a smile) to get the job done!

From this pic, you’d never even know that 2 hours before the ceremony a random rain cloud POURER over their decor. Everything was removed, table cloths dried and tables reset just in time for the ceremony!

Have you heard of an ‘Unplugged Ceremony’? Best idea out there in my opinion!! Let the professionals capture the great photos *without* hands in the aisle and iPhones all throughout.

Fun/not so fun story…right before this beautiful ceremony in the apple orchard, I stepped on a bee which resulted in my foot swelling to double in size 😳 aaaaaand apparently I’m allergic to bees 🤷🏼‍♀️

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I heard Brian Johnson say recently that one key to living a worry-free life is to have hobbies. And if your hobby is your job, it doesn’t count. That’s a hard one for me, because I REALYYYY love my job! Wedding planning, design, timelines, meeting with brides—all that makes me come alive! But...it can cause moments of worry here and there. Today I spent some ‘me’ time doing another thing I love...cooking and baking. And now I have homemade almond milk and paleo pumpkin muffins to enjoy. (Also, has the BEST nut milk recipe on her blog!)

Nick and Bree lost their home in the Carr Fire and had to cancel their wedding (the week of the fire) BUT... the community came together and everything was donated for them to have their dream wedding yesterday. From the venue, to the DJ, wedding coordinator, food, catering staff, decor and flowers...Redding, well done!!!
