ARE YOU NEWLY ENGAGED? 💍
Psst: You may want to read ⤵️
-First, congratulations! This is going to be a very exciting time for you…and maybe a little stressful too. But that’s normal 😉
Secondly, let me offer some advice as you start your search for your perfect vendor team.
1) DON’T ask “What do you charge?” In your inquiry. Truth be told, we HATE that! Let me explain…it’s just rude. Thats it.
2) Pertaining to planning: during the inquiry phase I suggest starting out by giving us as much information as possible such as, location of your event (if you have one, if not you can state a venue hasn’t been selected yet-that’s totally fine ☺️) date or range. The size of your guest count, budget, any and ALL other information you have. How irrelevant it might seem to you, it helps us.
While some planners have package rates, some take a tailored approach to formulating our services and fee and we base that on what we know about you.
3) Don’t start the conversation with complaining about the cost of weddings. Weddings are an investment couples choose to make. We don’t force anyone to have a wedding. Vendors charge what couples have shown us they are willing and comfortable paying.
4) Be respectful of the time planners give you before signing a contract. We are eager to get to know you and find out if we make a good team just as much as you are. But there is a limit to the amount of time we should give you before you put pen to paper.
If you know you want to work with us and we’ve demonstrated we are committed to you-please don’t waste our time.
5) Please know that while we love hearing from you and knowing how things are developing on your end-keep communication clear and concise. Important information that relates to a specific subject regarding the wedding should come via email with the subject line indicating the topic like, “catering update” or “Photography question/update” and don’t be afraid to start a new email with each subject. Hitting reply to everything can make it difficult to find an email about a particular subject.
I hope this helps 🥰
(On a side note-can we just a take a moment to admire how freaking GORGEOUS this whole look is??? 🥰)
