***BREAKING NEWS*** Noise rock LEGENDS The god Bullies admit the jig is up!!! Exposed by Crusty Old Hippie Saruman they ADMIT, evidence is true that High influence of Slayer, (the) Melvins, KISS, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Mastodon and other so called "METAL" music bands is evident in the new God Bullies Official album "As Above So Below", admit, it might in fact... be METAL. The jig is up!! -As they say. According to sources, the bastards in the heavy duty band Thrall are to blame.
Thrall, also known as for playing "devil music" and lighting things on fire while playing their metal jungle music has NO comment says the press. Review below from NOISE ROCK NOW also has breaking reports:
So I've finally had the opportunity to experience the new album from God Bullies and I have to say that I haven't been this blown away with a new release in a while. Absolutely phenomenal stuff right here. Let me just say that this whips my fu***ng ass so hard with CLASSIC God Bullies idioms. It's like the band hasn't slowed down at all since their inception.
Certainly the band isn't quite the same as they were in the 90s, but I think you would be hard pressed to say that this isn't an absolute barnburner. Maybe it's just me, but I really think Mike Hard and company really show off just some pitch perfect songwriting here as the band absolutely cuts close to what made God Bullies such a critical artistic entity during their Am Rep years. The production is a little denser and the riffs are a little thicker, but I can honestly say that "As Above, So Below" is right up there with God Bullies' best.
And while the music is certainly an absolute whip smash fist f**k, of course, the high point for me has to go to the most critical component of the band which is Mike Hard unleashing his most acerbic sentiments to date. My favourite being "Cops In Plain Clothes". Maybe that's just because I'm a fashionista. Let it not be said that I am not a catty bitch.
That being said, this is an absolute must-listen and I think it would be absolutely criminal to let yourself deprive yourself of the sheer ferocity of a band which has absolutely stood the test of time, as fearless and vicious as the day they were born. Let's have another 25 years of noise rock's second greatest outlet. The first being Weezer, obviously.
POUND THIS IN YOUR EAR HOLES AND ABANDON ALL HOPE. GOD BLESS THE MO*********NG GOD BULLIES.
