Gonna be a busy week with Halloween. Chill out Friday and order with us.

Bringing back an elevated cut for the feature this week. Boneless Leg of Lamb ($17). Herb coated and smoked till Medium and tender. Served over our Cous Cous and with a side of Roasted Broccoli with Manchego. Want different sides? Just send a note when ordering.

The competition was fierce. Family recipes, foodies, and renegade chefs were all vying for the top stop. End the end, it was clear that all they wanted was that little piece of Austin and Slow Burn Eats provided just that.

You now order from the winner of the ‘Best Queso’ according to the SF Longhorns for 2023!!!

Thanks for the help SB Nation. We are keeping the Queso, Homemade Salsa, and Chips on the menu this week for $6.

The SF Longhorns also had a Chili competition as part of the event. A neighbor from Atherton won that with a Venison masterpiece.

This week’s menu is our standard offering besides the queso. Hope we see you for a pre-Halloween meal.

Changing it up this week. We are offering a Family Meal Deal for $32!!! Your choice of Chicken Fajitas or Pork Tenderloin Carnitas. This meal kit gets your 1.5lbs of cooked meat, sauteed bell peppers and onions, Cilantro Lime Rice, Black Beans, Cheese, Sour Cream, and Tortillas.

That’s crazy you say…but wait there’s more. We are entering a queso competition on October 22nd benefiting the Bay Area Texas Exes. I am using this week to practice so if you order the meal kit you get Smoked Queso, Homemade Salsa and Chips. Yee Haw.

The rest of the menu is limited. Salads, Salmon, Ribs and desserts available.

The Apple trees on Windsor Way have led to something that must be shared. Apple Cider. We’ve had it all week over ice and it’s amazing. The fresh juiced Apple Cider will come with every order this Friday. All you need to do is bring a jar when you pick up and we’ll fill you up. Ours comes with a hint of lime to help stabilize and is expected to last 2 to 3 days in your fridge. We are taking donations to support the Windsor Way Halloween Parade festivities. Have you tried Mazra yet in San Bruno? If not, don’t worry they are opening soon in downtown RWC. My office has been ordering weekly the past year and it’s tops for Mediterranean street food by far. The place is always packed from 11am on, has about 2.5 parking spots and is the shining foggy star of San Bruno.

Believe it or not their signature dish is a whole Cauliflower. I’m not exactly sure how they get the dynamic flavor but the lab at Slow Burn Eats has their own version for this week’s featured item.

We paint on olive oil mixed with whole spices like coriander and cumin and finish it with paprika. We roast till ready and cut in half for you. The outside is close to black but it’s not burnt. Served with tahini and herbs to pour over at home. $6 for 1/2 Whole Cauli.

Good Streak going for Slow Burn to start off the school year. This week we added Deviled Eggs. $6 gets you 6 halves of cajun spiced bacon topped eggs served over greens.

If you haven’t had the Butter Roasted Carrots now is the time as we are putting that in the vault after Friday. We Roast then top with herbed hazelnuts, goat cheese and diced pepperoncinis ($6). Jamba Balls are also off the menu for now.

New Fun App this week. Jambalaya Balls. Inspired by Arancini from Italy. The Jambalaya is stuffed with mozzarella and rolled into a ball. We dip in egg wash, batter in seasoned breadcrumbs, fry until golden, then top with Pepper Jack Cheese. 3 to an order ($6).
