This Friday! We’re in for a treat with Hannah McDonald! Can’t believe we’ve almost finished another whole year for LG Live . We’ve been so lucky to have incredible local, original artists bring magic to the space.

is a Bay Area native singer songwriter, with over a decade of live performances in the San Francisco Bay Area. Whether it’s on guitar or piano, she writes original songs and rocks out on covers with inspiration from rock, soul and folk music.

Local collaboration has inspired many of her works, partnering with:

-Ryan Johnson
-Aidan Young
-Michael Burrell

About the artist:
Adrian West Band is an Oakland-based five-piece acoustic rock ensemble, featuring vocal harmonies, acoustic guitar, electric violin, saxophone, upright bass, drums, and live looping. Some say they sound like Paul Simon meets Talking Heads. They offer a fun mix of acoustic rock originals, covers, and instrumentals with some hints of jazz. Ever the realist, Adrian takes delight in setting thoughtful lyrics to joyful music.

We’re looking forward to having for LG Live on Fri., Aug. 23 🔥🔥 🔨

Anton Estaniel (cello and drums) with Elyse Weakley (keyboard and voice) makeup the cross genre duo SteelNHammers. Weakley and Estaniel, both classically trained, have taken part in a wide array of musical projects including Middle Eastern and Latin music and currently work together in the Hurd Ensemble, recently featured at the Kennedy Center, and Redwood Tango Ensemble presenting contemporary tango music. Their recording projects include collaborations with acclaimed rapper MC Squadda B and Grammy award-winning composer Mason Bates.

Jeff and I have been running LG Live: Intimate Concert Series in Redwood City since January of last year. We bring in artists with original music from around the bay and feature them at Little Green A Plant Bar in Redwood City. There’s complimentary wine and snacks. I also have a crockpot of bean chili (v) and some homemade cookies. 🍪

Instrumental funk/jazz vibes tonight by ‘Zoo Notes’ led by Antonio Feula.

is a jazz-funk band out of San Francisco who has crafted their sound around the groove-based repertoire of Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, and the Meters. Their originals take on a more lyrical quality a la Pat Metheny. Expect a variety of instrumentals that will get you dancing in your seat to unwinding in melodic bliss.

Look forward to seeing you there! These are all original, local, professional artists who have been on the scene for a long time. Free concert, suggested donation of $20 or more for the artist. Artist keeps it all. We do our best to keep live music accessible and personally give what we can to the artist. We also want them to leave with more love, and that requires community 😉. Little Green is a beautiful small business in Redwood City that is a treasured third space for so many. We’ll have a separate donation jar for so that it can keep thriving. Cash preferred. Really looking forward to having Tony this summer season for LG Live!

Prolific Bay Area songwriter, Tony Irie, has been writing, recording, and performing music consistently around the Bay Area for the last 10+ years, as the charismatic frontman for reggae band Redwood Roots, while lending his voice and guitar to numerous projects. In his more recent artistic incarnation he has been honing an exciting and emotionally charged sound rooted in both reggae and alternative rock. Chris Vail, Bay Area reggae guitar dynamo and longtime Redwood Roots bandmate, joins in for this intimate acoustic duo set.

LYSN is a Music Artist, Song Writer, and the Lead Vocalist of The Bay Area Band in San
Jose California. Lysn has been putting out new music independently for the past few years. Collaborating with Reggaeton Artist, Mu, Lysn has entered in a new level in his career- speaking bilingual on multiple songs. Lysn has performed on the same stages as major performing Artist Such as ‘Oro Solido, Sonora Dinamit, La Factoria, Andre
Nickatina, and Rayven Justice . Lysn’s sound is a mixture of Hip Hop, Soul, Reggaeton, R&B,
Electronic Rap, and Alternative. Lysn grew up exposed to a variety of musical genres, which spark his open mind, and creativity. Lysn & Barelyfunktional are known for performing improvisation and connecting with their viewers, creating a fun environment for all ages. The Band was published in Content Magazine Profiles 13.4 Fall 2021. Lyn got his stage name from taking
the time to listen. While listening he gained a lot of knowledge & with that knowledge he had the chance to teach oth, 7th, & 8th graders at DCP Middle
School in San Jose. He taught the students
Hip Hop Culture & Hip Hop History• To kick off 2024 Lys is on an ongoing tour with Colombian Star Dragon, rocking the stage with Mu sharing their reggaeton hits with the world.

We’re excited to have local singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Paloma Tahn performing for us next month! .tahn

LG Live concerts take place in the botanical oasis of , nested in downtown . We create an intimate, listening room experience that attracts music enthusiasts, plant lovers, and people dedicated to fostering community connection. The concerts take place on the 2nd and 3rd Friday of every month. We provide complimentary drinks and snacks. There might even be a hang afterwards at a nearby bar :)

Come by and support small business and live original music! Shows start at 8 PM and go till about 9:30 PM. There is parking next to the venue if you arrive early. If no parking is available, there is usually parking on a side street one or two blocks away. Theres also a couple of parking garages in downtown Redwood City a few blocks away… definitely not nearly as expensive as SF. First hour or so is free. So park early and grab dinner before the concert!

Suggested donation of $20. Cash preferred, but there will be QR codes as well linking to the artist’s venmo. Little Green takes very little overhead with the shows, as we’re dedicated to helping the artist thrive. Give what you can, even if it’s just posting a video that you took at the concert. No one is turned away.
