This Foundation cannot express in words how much it means to us for all the faces we got to see this past Saturday. Huge representation was made by 10 volunteers from Saputo Cheese, many volunteers from Fun Company, Shelly Popp, Jamie Woodward, Randy & Anne Fenwick, a high number of competitors from Beaver CrossFit gym, Milia Family and Hefley Family. It means the world to us that Bobby and Leanna Hefley come to help with the event all the way from Enumclaw Washington! Many folks coming all the way from Forest County, Wisconsin, too! So impressive! Let’s all give a big congratulations to the 2023 Blake’s Tinman Triathlon winners 🥳. Fastest time of 54:33 went to the “Backroad Bandits” (Josh Kenney and Cody Hondel) and 1st place individual winner Ethan Benson with 55:47! Way to go guys! 2nd and 3rd Team finalists were “The Goods” and “The Northshore Nancies”, being Brian & Khrystyna Goodman, and Dave & Sarah Milia. 2nd and 3rd individual finalists were Melissa Brandt and Stephan Burbach, along with all the other 33 beautiful people who competed. Hello Everyone! We still need a few more volunteers to stand at critical corners of the race on Saturday, just to take pictures and make sure the racers don't take a wrong turn. All helpers get free admittance to the party. Your help would be needed from 10 am to about noon. Any takers?

Tonight we presented the 3rd scholarship to another Reedsburg graduate pursuing a career/education in a mental health field. Congrats Hannah Klang of Reedsburg! Also congrats to Lindsay Littleton of Crandon!

Even bigger news is that thanks to Fun Company of New Lisbon and Saputo Cheese of Reedsburg, we now have the $150,000 needed to place an endowment fund that will forever produce this $6,000 scholarship to happen each year! More to come as Blakes foundation continues to raise money for .

Blake's Tinman 2022 was a huge success and over $28,000 was raised. Reedsburg's own Saputo Cheese is sponsoring the 2023 event in a big way, covering all expenses! We are proud to announce that the same scholarship is again being offered at Reedsburg Area High School, Crandon High School, and also via online application on our website. If you or anyone you know is wanting to go to school for a mental health-related career, please apply and/or share this great opportunity. Save the date September 9, 2023. Charlieboy and Derek will be back to perform in what we hope is good weather!

The Blake Matthew Mindful Memorial Foundation Inc. was founded with its purpose being to provide large ($6,000) scholarships to students who are pursuing education and career in a mental health related field.

Words cannot express how thankful the Blake Matthew Mindful Memorial Foundation is for the outstanding and heartwarming experience we all had this weekend. Reedsburg/Crandon/New Lisbon (et al) stepped up majorly for mental health in a huge way. We turned Blake's tragedy into promises of hope this weekend. In honor of Blake, the event raised $25,000 for local scholarships for students pursuing a career in mental health. We are so grateful for everyone who competed and for those who helped organize this event. A huge thanks to each vendor, supplier, donor, sponsor, event manager, musician, raffle ticket buyer, auction item bidder, everyone who helped with the race, the people who helped with construction, set up, clean up - from the bottom of our hearts, thank you immensely! Last but not least, thank you to Kurt and Jean Johansen who started the "tinman" and to Tim at Checkered Flag for reminding me about it when Sasha and I were wondering how we could raise scholarship money. Reedsburg is the most amazing community to live in. Also a huge thank you to the City of Reedsburg Police and Public Works for helping with so many critical parts of the race. Next year we hope for better weather, and we cannot wait to make some nice additions to make everything work a little better. Full hearts here at the foundation. You all knocked it out of the park!
