Art kids always find a way through expression. I've always been an 'art kid,' but never really knew what I wanted to do with my life. Pursuing my interest in the arts, I attended the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth and left the comfort of my 2D classes with a new interest in creating sculpture, working in wood, metals, fabrics, and natural materials. After graduating in 2007 and spending
time teaching visual art, I decided that I wanted to work with my hands. The years of working in food retail paid off when I was appointed to a cake decorating position at my local supermarket, exploring the world of cake. Since then I've worked at Montilio's Baking Company in Brockton, Massachusetts, studied baking, and created hundreds of cakes using modern methods. Compelled by the new media interest in cake and sugar art, I'm here to make CAKE...with an art school twist.
