Astilbe ‘Peach Blossom’ – Having lived almost all my adult life in Colorado – hot, dry, & arid – I am excited by growing some new plants, especially Astilbe. Astilbe is really a shade lover but will tolerate some morning sun. Also, it loves consistent moisture, but the flowers make it worth all the effort. You can use flowers in arrangements but also leave some on for winter interest.

Ploemonium ‘Brise d’Anjou – Commonly known as Jacob’s Ladder. We only have one variety offered but it is probably the only interesting variety with it green & yellow fern like foliage. It is a beautiful little gem adding some variety to the shade bed.

Brunnera macrophylla ‘Jack Frost’ – A must for the shade garden ‘Jack Frost’ has large highly frosted heart shaped leaves with silver venation. Prefers shade but can handle some morning sun, plus the charming blue forget-me-not flowers in the spring are truly lovely.

Heucheras – I love love heucheras in my shade garden especially the ones with lime color to brighten the space such as Heuchera ‘Northern Exposure Lime’ and Heucherella hybrida ‘Gold Zebra’.
