Are you doing a first look?

Reasons to consider doing one:
1. You get to spend even more time with your partner on your wedding day!
2. You get the opportunity to get a TON of couple portraits before the ceremony even starts - allowing you to spend more time with your guests later in the day.
3. If you’re a little on the shy side, or prefer for your partner to be the only one to hear your vows, a first look is a perfect opportunity to privately read your vows to one another.
4. Although your day-of coordinator or wedding planner will assist with this, if you opt not to do a first look, sometimes it’s hard to avoid accidentally seeing your partner pre-ceremony!

First looks are so intimate, and they’re one of my favorite moments of a wedding day. A first touch is also a great way to share your private vows to your partner pre-ceremony if you want to avoid seeing each other - and just as intimate!

A few of my favorite things from 2023 weddings (in no particular order):

1. Jenna & Chris made friendship bracelets to not only serve as place cards, but were also a cute favor that their guests could wear and take home. ( photo by )

2. Camryn & Ron’s guest book idea was one of the most creative! Since their ceremony was at a camping site where Camryn grew up camping with her family, they had a camping theme reception at a brewery down the street. They collected post cards from different states & state parks and had their guests sign those.

3. Sam & Michael had a tattoo station at their wedding - and it was a HIT! By the end of the night, all of their guests (and vendors) had temporary tattoos. It was so unique & fun and I loved the idea!

4. Hailee & Millie did a butterfly release during their ceremony. This was such an exciting and cute element, I’ve never seen this before! Such a special memory that they’ll share forever. ( photo by )

5. Kylin & Andrew had Lake Tahoe themed favors at their Valhalla wedding. made the cutest Tahoe shaped shaped cookies (which were not only delicious but a huge hit). We also had mini Tahoe Blue Vodka bottles as favors.
