We had such a rad weekend helping Hannah & Trevor, Mike & Angie, and Chelsea & Cody celebrate their weddings. We feel so lucky to get to be a part of such beautiful weddings each weekend. 🥰🥰🥰

We also had the honor of helping Lake Tahoe Schools with their fundraiser , throwing a dance party for Hunter Lake ES students, and celebrating Victoria’s graduation from the 🐺.

Meet Hana! Our newest DJ 🥰

Hana is a Texas transplant who followed her heart to Reno in 2023 to hang out with her grandma and ended up falling head over heels for the stunning Great Basin. Her Texas years were a whirlwind of service industry quests, from managing bustling restaurants to pulling off epic private events. But once she landed in Nevada, she switched gears, becoming a licensed CNA and diving into civil engagement during the 82nd legislative session.

Hana’s vibe? Always ready to jump in and help, no matter what. She’s got a knack for anticipating people’s needs and never shies away from lending a hand. And when it comes to music, she’s all about those ‘80s and ‘90s jams, while living on a prayer to play to the mood all night.

Now, as she settles into life in Nevada, Hana’s on a mission to find her groove and make a difference in her community. With her passion for service, love for music, and laid-back charm, she’s carving out her spot in the Silver State one smile and one tune at a time.

With the new year approaching, I’ve been doing some reminiscing and thought it a good time to tell our story as we enter our 14th year of business.

The first pic is from August of 2012. The year I created DJ FUNN. I just went through a very tough year and needed some way to supplement my income as a teacher. I’d been playing guitar and singing in bands for over 15 years so the transition to a DJ seemed a natural one. My daughters (ages 8 & 9 at the time) named the business as a play on our last name, Dunn. In case anyone was wondering why there are two Ns in Funn. 😎😂

The first 5 years were a grind.

Then, in 2017, my best friend became my business partner… Joe. Without him, DJ FUNN would not be who we are today, a family. The second pic is Joe’s first wedding as a DJ in 2017.

Now we have 10 people in the DJ FUNN family… some of our closest friends and even my daughter and Joe’s sister. We truly are a family. ❤️

Wishing everyone a super rad 2024! We can’t wait to celebrate with y’all!
