Friends - as many of you know, Carson City lightweight boxer Diego Elizondo was in a terrible car accident several days ago. He suffered severe head trauma and required emergency brain surgery when he arrived to the hospital. According to his family, he is showing some signs of improvement, but is still not fully conscious and remains in ICU.

Diego is one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing in boxing. He and his family are class acts - many of you already know this. He is a father, a family man, and an exemplary citizen - but personally, it is impossible for me to overstate how good of a person Diego is. His family set up a gofundme for donations to help them through this time.
