Businessmen’s Steer Decorating

Have you ever dreamed of participating in the Reno Rodeo but never quite got your big break? Well now’s your chance.

With Businessmen’s Steer Decorating or BSD, our community has the opportunity to participate in the Wildest Richest Rodeo in the West. The event itself consists of 18 teams of two people each, one who will hold the steer (the mugger) and the other who will decorate the steer (the tier) by tying a ribbon on the steer’s tail. The team that decorates their steer the fastest wins the round!

2025 RENO RODEO CHAMPIONSHIP DRILL TEAM COMPETITION

Reno Rodeo is proud to invite 10 teams to compete in this year’s drill team competition to be held Friday, June 20, 2025 at 8:00 am at the Reno Livestock Events Center Indoor Arena. To maintain the high standard and quality of the competition, Reno Rodeo will only allow 10 teams the opportunity to compete in this year’s competition. Competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. in the order of draw.

The Judges Meeting will be held Thursday June 19, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in the DOC Bar which is located inside the indoor arena building at the West End upstairs. The review of drill criteria with the judges and drill masters will be done.

🎳 Seventh Annual Reno Rodeo Committee Bowling Tournament to Benefit Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund 🎳

Participants are invited to hit the lanes and support a good cause at the seventh annual Reno Rodeo Committee “Bulling” Tournament, set for Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Bowling Stadium.

Funds raised at this event will directly benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund, an organization that provides need-based financial assistance to athletes injured through their participation in professional rodeo. Last year’s event raised $15,000 with the help of generous businesses and participants. This year, with room for 78 teams, the Reno Rodeo Committee seeks to surpass that goal and make an even larger impact.

Participants can register as independent teams for $200 or as sponsored teams for $500, which includes entry for four bowlers, event t-shirts and breakfast. Spectators are also encouraged to join in the fun, with the option to enjoy breakfast for $40 while cheering on the teams. The winning team and sponsor will be awarded a Montana Silversmith Champion Buckle.

In exchange for a $500 donation pledge, sponsored teams have the unique opportunity to contribute to a great cause while gaining visibility through various channels. In recognition of their support, sponsors will have their logos prominently featured on participant t-shirts, lane signage and social media platforms promoting the event.

The event kicks off with check-in and breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by bowling starting promptly at 10 a.m. Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a silent auction and raffles featuring exciting items.
