Superior ratings for both choirs! Bronze "Best in Class" award for Treble Choir (gold, silver, and bronze were each less than 1 point apart from each other). Lua S-J won best soloist award! Very proud of all of our singers!

Good Morning Chorus Parents and Guardians,

We’re tired this morning, but feeling great about our Assessment results! I want to reiterate how proud I am of the students, not only for their demonstrated level of performance, but for their commitment to the process as they continue to grow as musicians. At the end of the day, the “why” behind our singing isn’t so that we can earn high ratings. Although it’s affirming to receive positive feedback, and important for us, the real reason we sing is because we love singing, we love music, and we are benefitting from the academic, cultural, and social-emotional connections that choir participation affords. I say “we” because I’m a life-long singer, and I have not only personally experienced the power of choral education in my life, but over these many years of teaching I’ve seen what an impact it has in my students’ lives.

Please be sure to congratulate your student for their outstanding achievements in choral music. I hope that you have a restful weekend!
