Starting a small business is not for the faint of heart. And I say this from experience...
Mine was born out of necessity, out of survival.
There was a time when I had nothing left but faith in myself and a few dollars to my name. I scraped together my last bit of money, bought some professional-grade balloons, and took a chance. Why? Because there was a client out there who believed in me before I even believed in myself.
That moment changed everything. For the first time, I took a chance on me.
I won’t sugarcoat it. This journey has been hard. The kind of hard that tests your patience, your courage, and your will to keep going. There were moments I wanted to give up, moments that made me question everything. But it has also been the most fulfilling thing I’ve ever done. Because for the first time in my life, I can say with my whole chest, I am completely obsessed with what I do.
So if you’re sitting there nervous or scared to take that leap, I get it. But hear me when I say this, if I can do it, so can you. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to believe in yourself enough to start.
Times are tough right now. The economy, the tariffs, the uncertainty...it’s real. But I want this post to serve as a reminder to anyone out there who’s struggling right now, hold on. Keep showing up for yourself. Keep believing. Keep creating. Keep betting on you.
This too shall pass, and when it does, you’ll look back and realize that everything you thought was breaking you was actually building you.
