1 year ago one of my best friends, my grandpa, passed away. It was such a difficult time for me, I'm not going to sugar coat that. But something that brought me a lot of comfort was being able to do these flowers for him. He was a big fisherman, so I made this arrangement to look like fishing at a lake. He also loved playing racquet ball so I had to get that in somehow. I know these aren't the most beautiful arrangements ever, but they were special to me and I know they were special to him.

Another reason I love doing funeral flowers is that I get to bring who these people are in to the flowers. Somehow that helps bring even more peace to those struggling with loss.

One of my favorite part of funeral flowers is getting to pay tribute and comfort the family. In December, my grandpa (in law, but still my grandpa!) finished his time here in earth. I had the great honor of doing his funeral flowers. I learned so much about who he was and heard so many stories in the two days I got to work on these flowers. He was a cowboy through and through. So I got to include his boots, hat, belt buckle, and bolo ties. What a great tribute it was😊
