Our Story
Artco’s roots go back to 1908 when Arthur Porter Sr. acquired The Rexburg Journal, a weekly newspaper and printing company. In 1947 the elder Mr. Porter sold a portion of the business to his son, Arthur C Porter.
Arthur C Porter operated the company for 28 years establishing both the “Rexcraft” and “Stylart” invitation companies in the early 1960’s.
In 1975, the printing business was turned over to Art L and Randall Porter who continued to expand the original companies. Besides the two main lines of business, Stylart Wedding Invitations and Rexcraft Wedding Invitations, further opportunities were created. Artco grew from a printing company to include a major manufacturing company, Artco Converters. Growth didn’t stop here… from the 1960’s to 2005 we grew from one wholesale wedding and one direct mail wedding line to eight wholesale lines including three wedding, a commercial, a graduation, two Christmas and an all-occasion line. Direct mail has grown to three wedding, a Christmas and an every-day card line. One of Artco’s many niches is our ability to create and manufacture various photo products including Invitations, Christmas cards and holiday ornaments—just to mention a few.
In 1985 we became a part of the Taylor family of companies located in North Mankato, Minnesota, bringing added growth, resources and opportunity to help advance our company to where it is today.
