The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is dedicated, through its arts and education programs, to providing arts experiences for people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. The CENTER will:

Maximize the use of its facility as a true community resource

Design and/or develop complementary arts programs at area schools

Provide opportunities fo

r hands-on technical and performance training in all aspects of theatre arts leading toward presentation

Assist in the development of individual and group performers by offering them the opportunity to benefit from The CENTER's facility, rich technical resources, and professional expertise. COVID-19 POLICIES FOR THE CENTER
(please note this can change, and changes will be posted here)

The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is aggressively ensuring the health and safety of all persons who work at The CENTER and all persons who visit The CENTER. All persons working at The CENTER, in any capacity, must provide proof of vaccination or submit to a weekly COVID-19 test and submit the results of said test to CENTER staff.
All persons working at The CENTER, in any capacity, must remain masked while in the building unless they are actively engaged in rehearsals or performances.
Any person not working at The CENTER but visiting The CENTER for any reason other than to attend a performance must remain masked while in the building; and
Audience members are exempt from having to submit proof of vaccination and are not required to remain masked during a performance, however, they are strongly encouraged to remain masked. TWO

IF ANYONE WORKING AT THE CENTER, IN ANY CAPACITY, TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AND/OR IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19, THEY MUST:


Absent themselves from The CENTER and cease all activities at The CENTER. THREE

BEFORE ANYONE WORKING AT THE CENTER, IN ANY CAPACITY, WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 MAY RETURN TO THE CENTER, THEY MUST:
Be fever-free without the use of medications for no less than 48 hours;
Be symptom-free without the use of medications for an additional 24 hours; and
Remain masked while at The CENTER so that ten (10) days have elapsed since having tested positive for COVID-19.

Guess what? We’re transitioning to a new ticketing platform designed with your convenience in mind.

This new platform is more mobile-friendly, supports Apple Pay, and offers a smoother checkout process. No more waiting in line at the box office when you already have a ticket, no passwords to remember, and lots of other great perks to come. We are aiming to streamline the process for a better experience for all.

However, during this transition period, we ask for your patience and understanding as we are all learning a new system.

Some events will still be on our older platform, while other events may be on the new one. Currently, “Moonlit Masquerade” and “One Night with Albee” are available on our new platform. If you notice any differences in the ticketing experience, this is the reason behind it.

Please note that this switch will also result in changes to processing and ticketing fees due to varying requirements of each platform.

A brief update for A Celebration of the Life of Lou Trapani on September 14th, 1-4PM:

The plan is for a primarily an outdoor event with tents for shade and weather protection, with some offerings and visual tributes indoors as well. Seating and tables will most likely be provided, but availability may vary based on attendance. If you haven’t already, please RSVP at centerforperformingarts.org/rsvp to help us estimate attendance accurately.

Pizza and drinks will be provided, specifically wine for adults. While families with children are absolutely welcome to attend, please be mindful of the presence of alcoholic beverages.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended last night’s Evening of Gratitude and for all who made it possible during this very difficult time Despite our sadness over such a great loss, it was wonderful to see the faces of so many great friends of The CENTER and to have the opportunity to express our gratitude and honor treasured volunteers. Last night, we accomplished some much needed “catching up” and recognized three individuals that are very special to us, the winners of the Rodney Plimpton Award for Distinguished Service for the past 3 years. This is a recognition for individuals who have gone above and beyond to support The CENTER. The winners were Karyn Morehouse, Liz Langan, and Ryan Dutcher. Ryan was also our host for the evening (we surprised him with his award!) Many thanks to the Board of Directors for all of their hard work. And of course a huge thank you to Pablo Paul Schubert and Maria B. Hickey for providing the beautiful soundtrack of the evening.
