The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that is dedicated, through its arts and education programs, to providing arts experiences for people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds. The CENTER will:

Maximize the use of its facility as a true community resource

Design and/or develop complementary arts programs at area schools

Provide opportunities fo

r hands-on technical and performance training in all aspects of theatre arts leading toward presentation

Assist in the development of individual and group performers by offering them the opportunity to benefit from The CENTER's facility, rich technical resources, and professional expertise. COVID-19 POLICIES FOR THE CENTER
(please note this can change, and changes will be posted here)

The CENTER for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck is aggressively ensuring the health and safety of all persons who work at The CENTER and all persons who visit The CENTER. All persons working at The CENTER, in any capacity, must provide proof of vaccination or submit to a weekly COVID-19 test and submit the results of said test to CENTER staff.
All persons working at The CENTER, in any capacity, must remain masked while in the building unless they are actively engaged in rehearsals or performances.
Any person not working at The CENTER but visiting The CENTER for any reason other than to attend a performance must remain masked while in the building; and
Audience members are exempt from having to submit proof of vaccination and are not required to remain masked during a performance, however, they are strongly encouraged to remain masked. TWO

IF ANYONE WORKING AT THE CENTER, IN ANY CAPACITY, TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 AND/OR IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19, THEY MUST:


Absent themselves from The CENTER and cease all activities at The CENTER. THREE

BEFORE ANYONE WORKING AT THE CENTER, IN ANY CAPACITY, WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19 MAY RETURN TO THE CENTER, THEY MUST:
Be fever-free without the use of medications for no less than 48 hours;
Be symptom-free without the use of medications for an additional 24 hours; and
Remain masked while at The CENTER so that ten (10) days have elapsed since having tested positive for COVID-19.

✨ Fun Fact: The original Broadway production of Shrek the Musical ran for 441 performances and closed on January 3, 2010. That’s a lot of onion layers!

2024 was a year marked by highs and lows for us here at The CENTER. The most significant impact was the loss of our beloved former Artistic and Managing Director, Lou Trapani. However, we also felt incredible love and support from our community in 2024. Thanks to you all, we step into the new year with optimism and hope

10 Field Trip Shows.
And the countless dance classes, rehearsals, friendships, and enduring memories fostered by The CENTER.
