Thirsty Thursday is upon us once again and that means it's time for the third installment of our Patio Pounders series. This week we are featuring the Mucho Más Blanco from Felix Solis vineyards in Spain. This blend of Verdejo, Sauvignon blanc and Chardonnay is complex and subtle on the nose, with peach and apricot aromas and hints of citrus and smokiness. Rich and mouth-filling in style, with tropical fruit flavors, light vanilla, and nicely balanced acidity. At only $10.99 a bottle this white blend pairs perfect with sunshine and tapas on the porch.

Clayton's Cocktail of the Week! This week's offering is a modern classic created in 2002 by Vincenzo Errico for London's Match Bar. This riff on the Negroni tames a bit of the bitterness of the original by adding fresh fruit and citrus notes. As always, all of the booze and most of the fresh elements are available in the shop!

1oz Beefeater Dry Gin
1oz Campari 75oz Fresh Lemon Juice5oz Simple Syup
5ish Green Grapes

Muddle the grapes in shaker, then top with the remaining ingredients and shake with ice. Fine strain over a large cube into a rocks glass and garnish with skewered grapes.

It's Thirsty Thursday, which means it's time for the next installment of Patio Pounders. This week we are featuring the Provence Rosé from Fleurs de Prairie whose source vineyards are located in the Languedoc region of France on the Mediterranean Sea. This wine is a pale pink and relatively acid forward with notes of lemon and tropical fruit, which make it an ideal warm weather wine. It is currently on sale for only $9.99 a bottle, which is an absolute bargain for a wine of this quality.

Clayton's Cocktail of the Week! This week's offering is another original recipe. Slightly bitter, mildly tropical, full-bodied, and bourbon forward; this cocktail is a crowd pleaser! As always, all of these ingredients are on the shelf and ready for you to give it a shot at home. (Except the egg white. In this economy? Sorry, but no.)

2oz Old Grandad Bonded Bourbon75oz Giffard Banane du Brésil (banana liqueur)5oz Aperol
1 Egg White or 1oz Aquafaba for a Vegan Option

Clayton's Cocktail of the Week! Another original (or partially stolen recipe from my recent trip to The Patterson Room in Nashville...) this twist on the tiki classic Jungle Bird cocktail is a bitter boy that will take the edge off of a rough day.

The Scrooge McDuck
1.5oz Cynar5oz Ron Del Barralito 3 Star Rum
1.5oz Pineapple Juice5oz Lime Juice5oz Orgeat

Shake all ingredients, then strain over crushed ice. Garnish with pineapple fronds if you're fancy or a swizzle stick if you're lazy (like me).

For many years, Job was both a valued member of our team and a friend to all who worked at Johnny’s. The news of his passing has brought great sadness to us and we’d like to extend our condolences to his family and friends. His resilience was exemplary and he was always as quick with his kindness as he was with his wit. Job is missed and his influence will live on in what we do everyday.
