Got your Polynesiacs Passport? Ready for a Tiki trip? Made a stamp? Join Tiki Tom-Tom as he provides Tiki-specific travel tips and suggests weekend Tiki road trips informed by his travels to more than 160 public and private Tiki bars.

Learn how to create a passport stamp. Share your designs. Have a passport? Bring it! Attendees will get Tiki Tom-Tom’s “Polynesiacs” stamp and printed tiki trip itineraries. Copies of Polynesiacs Passports and Polynesiacs: Tiki at Home will be available.

In addition to kick ass music, cocktails, and art, our goal for Mai Tai Mayhem is to share the rich tiki history in Ohio. We will have an Ohio Tiki History Exhibit on Friday and Saturday which is your chance to learn more about why we love tiki so much when we’re so far from an ocean. This original carving from The Kahiki Supper Club (Columbus, 1961-2000) is one of many items that will be on display. Do you have a piece that you would like to share from a tiki bar that shaped our history? DM us to let us know!

In addition to The Kahiki, we plan to showcase items from Kon Tiki Cleveland and Grass Skirt Columbus.

Most importantly, if you haven't booked your room, then jump on the exclusive room block rate for the event which is $99 per night (plus taxes and all that mumbo jumbo) for a King or Double room for up to 4 people. The hotel has a pretty decent breakfast served until 9:30AM that is included with your stay which is sure to cure those hangover aches and pains. In addition to breakfast, you will have access to all of the hotel’s amenities like the indoor pool and hot tub, putt-putt golf course, ping pong, and game room!

One of the best things about this location is that everything is taking place in one general area of the hotel so you’ll never feel like you are disconnected from the party. Mai Tai Mayhem will take place in a former Holidome that was the premier hotel for sports teams and acts playing the Richfield Coliseum. We will be partying in a piece of Ohio history and we have full run of the hotel just for Mayhem!

Hi! My name is Kim and I ditched the corporate world in 2015 to take my love of jewelry design and metalsmithing full time. Mid century design and all things Tiki/Polynesian Pop pulled at my heartstrings and I figured... why not fill a niche with beautiful handmade high quality jewelry built to last that can be worn every day, anytime, anywhere... not just at Tiki events!

And I have been having a blast designing and creating sterling silver, copper, and brass jewelry with gemstones ever since... and haven't burned my workshop down yet, haahaaa!!! I take great pride in my work and make it a priority to ensure that every piece is special, infused with heaps of love, and tons of heart and soul.

OFFICIAL MAYHEM ARTIST PROFILE
Tikis By Savage Matt (Strickland) is a talented, independent artist from Michigan and will join us in the Mayhem Marketplace on March 8!

ARTIST BIO
During the COVID lockdown, Matt applied his 25-year love of tiki by building oceanic lamps, carvings, and wall hangings. In addition, he has added making pendants, earrings and other wearable tiki art. His works are inspired by the original tiki boom of the last century and inject his own personality.

He did his first showing at the Hell Michigan event in 2022 and has since also done Makahiki, Atomic Tiki Bazaar, Mutiny Bazaar, Mahalorama and TU Tiki Flea Market.

Matt's lamps are featured in the new Don the Beachcomber in Madeira Beach Florida, The Lucky Tiki in L.A. and his lamps/carvings are in many amazing home bars.
