This will be the final post for Dish & Spoon as we will be out of business as of May 31st. Although I am sad to have to make this decision, after 5 years, it is time to move on.
I will still be doing orders for cakes, cheesecakes and other baked goods for whoever needs them. Please contact me directly through messenger with any requests.

It was breakfast for dinner Wednesday at Preston Baptist Church. An assortment of sausages, fluffy scrambled eggs, “Cracker Barrel “ copycat hash brown casserole, fresh fruit salad and a Peach Pie Cinnamon Roll casserole for dessert. Join us in April and see what we are planning.

Wednesday at Preston Baptist Church was spaghetti night with lots of meatballs!!! Roasted asparagus, garlic butter yeast rolls and Caesar Salad rounded out the meal with a rich creamy Tiramisu for dessert. Join us next week for Pancakes for dinner!!!

The first time lightning the grill this season at Preston Baptist Church. Pork Loin, with Sweet Potato Soufflé, black eyed peas, Cashew Pear Salad, Cheddar and Jalapeño Cheddar corn muffins and rich chocolatey cupcakes with peanut butter frosting to finish off the meal. At Preston Baptist Church we welcomed March with a meal of Braised Beef roast, Garlic Rosemary mashed potatoes, seasoned green beans, cafeteria style yeast rolls, a crisp Caesar salad and Strawberry Mousse for dessert. Join us next Wednesday for good food and fellowship.

Went to my local Asian market and was inspired to make Shrimp noodle bowls. I have to say I didn’t do half bad. It was quite yummy.

Everyone was looking for the baby in the King Cake cupcakes. After their dinner in honor of Mardi Gras that is. Chicken and Sausage Gumbo over rice, crispy fried okra, French bread and garden salad rounded out the meal. Join us on Wednesday to see what March has in store.

Tonight was Taco night at Preston Baptist Church. There were plenty of toppings, Cilantro-Lime rice, Corn and Black Bean medley and, by special request from a birthday girl, Dirt for dessert.

Wednesday night dinner at Preston Baptist Church was pure comfort. Chicken and dumplings, fresh green beans, everyone’s favorite Cafeteria style yeast rolls, cream bacon ranch pasta salad, fresh fruit and scratch made fudgy brownies. Join us next Wednesday to see what’s for dinner.

Last Wednesday was a taste of a Summer picnic on a rainy day. Complete with hotdogs with all the fixins, including chili and coleslaw, sweet early season corn on the Cobb, potato chips and a sundae bar with lots of toppings.

Playing catch up on posting the dinners at Preston Baptist Church.
Last week was baked Ziti with meatballs, a crisp garden salad, buttery garlic bread and cool and creamy no bake chocolate cheesecake.
Yesterday’s rainy weather warranted a hearty beef stew over buttered rice, a choice of either Cheddar or Jalapeño cheddar corn muffins, a build your own salad and personal size pecan tarts.

It was pizza night at Preston Baptist Church. Cheese, pepperoni, pepperoni and mushrooms, pepperoni and ground beef with a crisp Caesar Salad and chocolate chunk cookies and fresh fruit for dessert. It’s also the last Wednesday night dinner service for the year, so come on the first Wednesday in January to see what we have in the new year. Merry Christmas and happy New Year!!!!

The menu last Wednesday at Preston Baptist Church was a requested birthday selection for Jesse Patterson’s birthday. Maple Balsamic Pork Tenderloin, Macaroni and Cheese, Cafeteria Style Yeast Rolls, Broccoli Salad with LOTS of bacon and Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie with a honey drizzle for dessert. Plus it was the Christmas program with the youth. It was a full night of birthday and Christmas festivities. Join us this coming Wednesday for Pizza Night!!!

Dish & Spoon had a day of special deliveries!!!! Carrot Cakes decorated for Christmas, Italian Creme Cakes, German Chocolate Cake, New York Style Cheesecakes and a jar of homemade Cherry Sauce. It was a long day but lots of fun adding a little sweetness to the holidays.

Dish & Spoon catered a Thanksgiving employee luncheon at Montezuma Health and Rehab Center. They enjoyed a meal of Smoked Turkey, dressing with gravy and cranberry sauce, green beans with smoked ham hock, sweet potato soufflé and yeast rolls. The meal was finished with Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars and everything was washed down with a glass of sweet tea.

Last Wednesday at Preston Baptist Church was a full house. Everyone feasted on Chicken Alfredo, Broccoli, Sautéed mushrooms, Yeast rolls, Caesar Salad and Vanilla cupcakes with choice of Vanilla, Peanut Butter or Chocolate frosting all with sprinkles!! No dinner this Wednesday, but we will be cookin’ again next week.

Yesterday evening Dish & Spoon catered a rehearsal dinner for an adorable couple at a stunning venue, Careless Joe’s at The River at Blanton. As a matter of fact I was so enamored by the surroundings, I forgot to take any pictures of the food.
The couple and their guests enjoyed a meal of Baked Spaghetti (grooms favorite) Chicken Florentine Lasagna and a traditional lasagna with Italian sausage, an Italian salad with a zesty vinaigrette and ranch dressings and, for dessert, a choice of Tiramisu or Chocolate Mousse.
(And a big shout out to Diane Harrel for ALL the help and support and the even bigger job of keeping me from going completely off the rails.)
