Good Morning everybody from this Chic Pepper. I am better. I still have my wound Vac in my chest and my IV PICC line in my Right arm right in the inside bend of my arm which is irritating. Moin hangs a dose of IV medication every afternoon at 6 pm. He is a task master when it comes to my care. I am a blessed woman for sure.
Yesterday I was checking out alll the new fall wreaths online and had to try one. It is on an easel but u can get the idea. Try to find the Pumpkin. I am taking orders for fall and Christmas flowers now. I work in my home florist so I can work and rest. Oh this sample is for sale😜

Well things do not always work out the way we want. You all are so wonderful and I Thank each of you for your earnest Prayers. I have not been updating you because I have just felt so bad. Now we know why I was so slow to recovery.
I had a CT with contrast this afternoon which showed several concerns. I do have two abscess at the top and bottom of my incisions.I will be having Surgery Friday morning to clear up those infections. This is my forth Surgery since March 27,2024 and my body is getting tired.
The CT also showed a broken rib and the left bottom lobe of my Lung not working again.
I am in awe that all of you have been so faithful to me in Prayer, Calls, Text ,Visits, Bringing food, and Oh the beautiful cards.
I was feeling so bad the first of this week and a dear friend sent a card saying Remembering You in Prayer." On the inside she wrote
Sandra .. I wanted you to know that you are continually in my Prayers." That one line made my day, That is only one of the many beautiful cards I get almost every day.
I Love all of you with all of my heart. Pray Gods will and not my will.

Chic Peppers has been down one month. As most my customers know I had a rare open heart surgery in which my brave Dr. CJ removed the very sick covering from around my heart. The covering and infection took up to 9 hours. It was constricting my heart to the point it had caused end stage heart failure. The right side of my heart did not work well after surgery so other than able to come off the vent I was not able to get up moving like most after heart surgery. Finally the heart started getting stronger and I was able to start walking. Then suddenly the wire started pulling loose around my sternum.They were pulling loose from my bone. I have to go back to surgery. My surgeon’s opened my chest to fine what one called a floating sternum. So a titanium plate was put in over my sternum and bolts were attached to put it in place. I was in the hospital 23 days. I am now home on the mend with instruction not to use my arms to get up, push or pulled and that is had to do but I am doing my best. I can not drive for 2 months that is if my bones are healing. I need to figure how to do flower arranging without hands hehe. God is good and I am alive to tell yall this.

If you all, who have been so faithful to pray for me would pray for me today’s little harder, I will be forever grateful. I been moving along good in my recovery but today I feel weak,extra sore and I still can’t eat foods. I want to eat but if I go to swallow it makes me sick. I can do soup but not today. Life me up please.

Good Early Morning Chic Peppers customers, Family and friends around the world.I have not been posting because I been in CCC at UMMC since March the 27, 2024 deeply medicated for most of that time. I had a massive rare heart Surgery that lasted 8-9 hours I am told. once my mind is clear I will check the exact time . I do not recall a lot of the 23 days of which only a few were on the step down floor,but according to my husband and daughter I had big set backs as I came of of surgery. I lost a blood during the surgery to remover the covering that surrounds the heart. I had developed;
unknown to me calcium in covering and it was constricting the heart from beating strong enough and the hearts right side had begin to fail. I was in En End Stage Heart failure not responding to treatment.
I though that was my lost hope, then my church Prayed over me and doors closed began to open. Dr CJ took on my difficult case. Anyways after surgery I was given blood that I reacted to and that reaction shut my Kidneys down for a a few days.I was able to come of Dialysis in two days I know from all the Prayers of faithful Warriors of Jesus Christ.
My right side of my heart was confused and did not want to work well. It looked like it just was flesh not moving blood well., so the doctors did not try to get me up for over a week. one night late I felt you prayers going up and I got up from that bed. From that night I began to walk and recovery I thought. Read the rest of the story in my next post.
