Hard to believe it’s been five years since my mom’s passing. Today I celebrate all the beautiful moments I had with her by my side. All the smiles & laughter we shared❤️ All The memories we made & the amazing woman she was and still is in my heart.
Saying Goodbye was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I prayed for god to take her this day five years ago. To take her peacefully like he did holding my hand.
Before her passing my mom asked me to read a poem at her funeral. So today I will say again remembering her always.

“I’d like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow
Of smiles when the day is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
Whispering softly down the ways.
Of happy times,and laughing times
And bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve
To dry before the sun
Of happy memories I leave
Behind-when day is done”
