Congratulations to our 2021 Rookie of the Year, Brooke Bollman from Hilton Garden Inn Virginia Beach Oceanfront!
Brooke returned to the HGI family as the Assistant General Manager in February of 2021 after a couple of years away. She started her career with our property as a front desk agent in 2018 and has held several positions at Shamin Hotels.
Brooke embraces the TOP (Team Up, Own It, Passionately Serve) culture in every aspect. She collaborates with the department heads to ensure they have clear lines of communication and support and ensures everyone is set up for success. She embraced the responsibility and even through challenging times, she handled every difficulty with grace and maturity.
She is a true Rockstar and Rookie of the Year!

Erin Baker, Front Desk Manager at Hampton Inn Hull St, sat down and shared some of her thoughts about TOP culture and Shamin's company culture.
We sat down with Kenya, the Front Desk Assistant Manager at Sheraton Richmond Airport Hotel. Kenya has been with Shamin Hotels for 20 years. She began her career as a waitress and has held just about every position except for maintenance.
"The guests who come in know us by name, and we treat them like family. That's what I love the most about working for Shamin Hotels- the family atmosphere. It's not just a job. The owners of Shamin Hotels will help you outside of work. They know our families. I know it might sound cliche, but we are just one big family. I love my job," explained Kenya.

The Shamin Cares fund represents the very best of our company culture. Shamin Cares is an emergency fund that provides relief to our associates during times of need.
Recently when a Shamin associate experienced a devastating fire that resulted in the hospitalization of her and her children, it was important to us, as a company, to do what we could to help.
We are honored to be in a position where we can take care of our associates in times of need. Our team gives 110% to create an outstanding experience for our guests and it's important that we take care of our associates in the same way.
Shamin Hotels 2022 Awards Ceremony
Yesterday, the Shamin Hotels team was able to celebrate our 2022 Awards Ceremony in person for the first time in 2 years. The room was full of friendly, familiar faces, and laughter as we celebrated the accomplishments we’ve achieved together.
Our team is resilient and continues to go above and beyond for our guests, and we couldn’t be more proud.
