Norma Geddes for ’s “A New Start After 60” series.

After a 40+ year career as a nurse, Norma found a new calling at age 69 after taking a 10-day stained-glass course. Now 82, she spends almost all her waking hours in the studio immersed in a flow state where she loses track of time doing something she could have never imagined she’d love so much.

Norma, you’re an inspiration to us all, and I personally appreciate the reminder that surprises always await us and it’s never too late to begin again.

Texas Roadhouse groupies Mike & Judy for . I met Mike & Judy a couple months ago for photos and a chat, and they told me all about their adventures across the country visiting over 400 Texas Roadhouse restaurants over the last 20 years. They love the food and have their favorite dishes on the menu, of course, but it’s the people of Texas Roadhouse they love the most. If all goes according to plan, they’ll take their RV decked out in Texas Roadhouse swag to their 500th restaurant. Thanks for this fun assignment!

Back in September I spent two weeks on the Norwegian and North Seas for a big travel job with . Lugged a suitcase full of film cameras on top of an already piled-high cart of camera luggage full of light stands, diffusers, and many camera and lens backups but it was worth it. What a year. ✨

Still can’t believe I saw this place with my own eyeballs. During this season of relentless illness, short days and little sunshine, I don’t take a single moment of this time for granted - when I’m not focused on the tasks and responsibilities immediately in front of me but looking outward at the expanse for a moment of pure awe and wonder. Those moments are such a rare gift. ❤️

What a balm for the soul to feel like an absolute spec in the visible history of rocks and finish another turn around the sun in this incredible landscape. To exist in a state of continuous awe and wonder - what a gift and a goal for every day, no matter the circumstances. 50 miles of hiking, 5 nights of uninterrupted sleep, much laughter and spectacular scenery, remembering how fun it is to be together just the two of us - I’d call our first kid-free trip in 5 years a wild success. Thanks to our village for helping us make it happen. ✨

New for ! 🎉 I had the privilege of traveling down to Chapel Hill to photograph James Keith Brown & Eric Diefenbach’s renovation of this midcentury treasure - James Taylor’s childhood home. The best part of all of this was getting to spend the day with JK & Eric, absorbing their stories and learning all the details about their midcentury furniture and art collection.
