Alternative Fashion, Stagewear, Custom Shop I am a crafter and leather worker, who specializes in stage-wear and accessories.

The Hidden Rivet was started with the goal of building a community of people who share a love for fashion and creative expression. Producing wares in both the fashion, and entertainment industries since 2016, my goal is to create heirloom quality pieces that empower wearers and inspire onlookers. In addition to crafting, I’m also a musician, and sword fighter, so I know how important it is to wear something that looks good without being distracting due to discomfort of lack of mobility.

I've been quiet for a minute. This project is nearing an end, and it's been a pleasure work on it.
While I have worn, and designed armor in the past, this was my first time designing and problem solving for a full set that needs to be protective (More peeks at that later) and able to stand alone, and adjust for various use cases.
Constructed of 10-14oz veg tanned leather, EVA foam padding, and Kydex plates lining key pieces.
Next up are the gauntlets and helm, which I'm stoked to see come together!

Hey hey.
Just touching base with you all. I have not been great at communicating lately, and wanted to let you know what is happening.
This year was a wild ride.
A lot of unexpected turns.
A lot of experimentation.
Heart break.
Excitement.
Doors closing.
Doors opening.
I have let things fall to the wayside on the business side of things, and I'm not proud of that. But realizing that at this current time, I do not want to be a business owner, as it comes with an array of things my neurospiciness does not handle well.. that's something I'm actively working on remedying.
I am not closing the doors; I am, however, going to commission only, and being very selective while I re-assess where I want to pivot my life and career goals.
You'll see my Etsy page is on vacation mode until further notice. While I don't plan to keep it closed indefinitely, it will remain such until I have a better work-life balance.
Currently I have about a 1-2 month wait before I can start NEW commissions. But if you want to be put on a waiting list and discuss the project scope and get a quote, DM me and we can discuss! 🤘🤘🤘

In the mean time, I hope you all kick ass, and keep pursuing what you love. Don't settle.

I can't take him anywhere. Always. Pants off, cuirass tightened. Like Winnie the Pooh going to battle.

It's been quite the journey creating solid system for myself to make this venture sustainable. I'm incredibly thankful for the support I've received in this journey, and looking forward to making all of this bigger and better.

I have not shared a lot about this custom set yet. But I've been hard at work on a full set of armor behind the scenes.
Cuirass just needs minor final touches, and moving to pauldrons and gorget next 🤘 I'm very excited to see this full set in action.
