We ❤️ Kate!

Did you know she was a teacher for 21 years, working from Kindergarten-5th grade and teaching students with disabilities?

She realized that making up a silly song to remember math facts, doing hands-on crafts to enrich a story, and finding creative ways to engage with her students was where she shined. She then created her summer camp which combined play-based educational learning experiences with elements of a traditional summer camp—high-energy games, crafts, friendship bracelets!!

And then, after having her second child, she thought about her next chapter, and combined everything she loved, learned, and taught into one magical place: Silly Goose Ridgefield! 🪿

Sweet Support! A FUNdraiser for Diabetes Awareness 🎈

Join the community Sunday, November 3rd, as we raise money for Breakthrough T1D and its mission to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. There will be activities for all: cookie decorating, bracelet making, hair braiding, tie dyeing, incredible raffles and so much more! All money raised will go to Becky Pesce, local Ridgefield mom (of a type 1 diabetic second grader) who will be running the NYC marathon for Breakthrough T1D that very day!

Super Snacks Cooking Class & Parents Night Out!! 👀

Mealtime doesn’t have to be scary! With our Super Snacks Cooking Class your kids get involved in the cooking process while trying new and nutritious foods! We have a fun semester every Friday from 4:30-5:30 for grades K-5, beginning November 8th, and a special two-hour event this Friday!

On October 18th, grades K-5th can join us for an evening of cooking and a Planet Pizza dinner from 5:00-7:00. We’ll take care of the kids so you can have a night out!

Our final Crafts & Confidence class of this semester ended with sewing a pumpkin! 🎃

This was a step-by-step project where we waited for friends to finish each step before going onto the next direction, supported each other while threading the needle and learning run and whip stitches, relied on peer feedback when deciding on the amount of stuffing to add, and then added unique finishes for decoration!

After reading about the history of gingerbread, we created our own famous Norway Gingerbread Village. Happy Holidays!

3rd birthday fit for The Royal Family. Crown making, sensory play(sand & beans), teaspoon races and the finally to cap it off was gown making. Really fabulous team work went into making this amazing gowns and beautiful models!

Holiday wreath making.. team work went into these stunning wreaths. Lots of sharing and care with these geese!

When Mia asks for a glow in the dark rave for her 7th bday we comprise on Halloween theme. (Idk where she comes from haha)*pumpkin making craft, candy glove filling station, decorating cookies. Glow in the dark dancing w fog & bubbles. Eyeball toss games and Halloween ring toss. The reel on Instagram has the music much better @sillygoose_activities

Sesame Street.. decorate your own goodie bags to Sesame Street play-dough all characters and cookie cutters to play with and plenty to bring home. Character beach balls and so much more!

Unicorn themed party.. Unicorn Masks, Unicorn play-dough, and unicorn March and dancing 🦄

Bouncy Balls.. fun rainy day activity & learn what a chemical reaction is by seeing and doing!

Silly Goose Enrichment class finished strong w shaving cream paint & pudding finger painting murals. These little geese are a creative gaggle. What you don’t see are the bond building games, noodle tag, ☘️ ball toss & problem solving. Can’t wait for the Spring Class!

🌈 dough and marshmallow prints were a hit.. what you don’t see is the great connections this group is making, sharing and asking each other for items, they played sack hops and silly version of 🏀 ❤️

These creative geese made leprechaun traps after listening to the book “How to Catch a Leprechaun” and played the rainbow game. ❤️ the creativity w each trap, just as unique as the child who made it.
